Hearing about how LJ's servers are being moved to Russia has made me kind of nostalgic for the old girl. So when I saw this challenge I thought, heck, let's try this out, for old time's sake.

FYI this is the last post I'll be crossposting to LJ. I'll be archiving my old posts here on DW and I'll move any comms over to DW that aren't already here. This is pretty much what we feared when SUP took over all those years ago. Fuck you, Russia. Me and my queer ass don't have to put up with your shit.

Anyway, let's get to the challenge.

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

I'm going to go with three (or so) fanworks that define me as a creator. For funsies.

The Burn My Sins Away series (HP): I've never been a hardcore Harry Potter fan, but these two stories helped me express exactly what I needed to express when I was writing them.

The More Than Just a Pretty Face series (SPN): This is me to a tee. Why yes, of course if I'm into something that's all about dudes I'm going to write an entire series of stories focused on some actual women. Plus it has baby's first porn, so that's fun and exciting.

Undertow (Narnia): I love this story. Period. Queen Susan at the height of the Golden Age, doing her duty.

Ruination Day (SPN): I've only ever made two vids (I've always planned on making more, but we'll see) and this one's the best. I made it for a friend's fic and it turned out really well.

All right, now on to less frustrating things. A couple months ago

dodger_sister had a dream that, when she recounted it the next day, we all thought it would make a delightful story. I have the privilege of being the only one off my rocker enough to attempt to tell it. I think I'm going to try this whole "posting things as a WIP" for a while so here's the first part.

This doesn't have a title yet, the name on the draft is Codename: Hotass. It involves Victor Henricksen as a P.I., Dand Scully as a Professor/Forensic Scientist at a local college, and Dean Winchester and Calvin Reid as police detectives. I'm sure you can all guess why it's called Hotass. =D

So. Supernatural. I'm not, here, going to go into the whys and wherefores of exactly how season six didn't work for me. In short, it's like a fic from a writer I enjoy that I spend all evening reading only to realize, at the end, that none of it really jived with how I see the characters or show. The kind of fic that makes you feel vaguely disappointed and pretty unsatisfied and you wonder why you wasted so much time reading it, though the next night you find yourself reading another fic by the same author.

Something like that. Anyway, the point of this post is to put down, for posterity, some of the things that Baylor and I decided for our versions of seasons five and six. Just in case the brain transmitters start working again.

Bring on the bullet points:

* Gabriel isn't Gabriel, he's Azrael (another archangel). Gabriel is played by Peter Gallagher and recurs throughout season five (though not season six).
* Bobby is killed by Lucifer in Detroit.
* Cas is killed and brought back as a human.
* Some omnipotent being removes Sam and Adam from Hell, Sam chooses to come back to earth while Adam goes on to heaven.
* Azrael is brought back via porno.

BTW, you should've seen the amazing organization that occurred over the weekend. It was an awe-inspiring sight to behold.

Anyway, what with classes and work (I went into court today where my boss argued the brief I wrote OMG THAT WAS EXCITING) I didn't get a chance to watch Show until today. And all I really have to say is ( Ahem )

And now, I am off to do more work. Because that is all I seem to do anymore. I miss being creative. And having things in my head that have nothing to do with the law. Because the law makes baby unicorns cry.
