As you can all probably tell, I can post from work I just can't do a lot of other things like read my f-list. You win some, you lose some.

So, I put up a meme things last week where I offered to answer three questions about my stories. Both [personal profile] hiyacynth and [livejournal.com profile] dodger_sister asked for more about my Ron stories All Stories End and Burn My Sins Away. So here are three bits of background/head canon and one deleted scene.

A couple few weeks ago, right after the annual glut of awesome vids post-VividCon, I put together a vid show for all of us at FGC. It was so much fun that I thought my f-list might enjoy it too. Some of these are new but most of them are old favorites. Plz to enjoy.

I am feeling ridiculously spammy today. I blame living alone and feeling healthy, it gives me way too much time to sit around and bother you people.

First off, I finally re-started my Buffy season two rewatch. It sure has taken me long enough. Surprise - Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered )

Only 6 more eps to go!

A couple days ago [livejournal.com profile] hiyacynth and I were discussing ComicCon and how we had no money to fly out to San Diego to attend. We eventually convinced ourselves that we'd be too embarrassed anyway so it was probably a good idea that we couldn't go and make fools of ourselves. And we probably wouldn't like it anyway. Then, today I somehow found her convincing me to go to some Buffy/Supernatural con in Chicago in November. What was I thinking? My fannish life and my real life can't collide like that! I'll turn beet-red and make a fool of myself in front of Jared, I KNOW I WILL! *deep breaths* It's okay, it will all be okay. You're going to be a lawyer. You can do this. At least we're doing this together. *deep breaths*

So you know that scene in OotP (the movie) where Harry sees Sirius and Remus framed in the kitchen doorway and they have their arms around each other? I am fairly confident that it's proof that Oldman and Thewlis have reached the same conclusion as the majority of fandom re: Remus/Sirius.

Speaking of, did Remus actually say anything during the entire movie? I'm not entirely sure he did. That's unfortunate.

I just spent time staring at the [livejournal.com profile] spn_remix community before deciding I have enough to write and I can't let myself get distracted by challenges. I can't even gather up the gumption to finish stories I've been thinking about for months, I certainly shouldn't be making commitments to anything else.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] baylorsr I've been thinking about John Winchester as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. He'd be a terror. And he might possibly be Harry's favorite DADA prof ever.

Ron Moore and Co. are really smoking the good crack over on Battlestar Galactica, aren't they? I'm sure they have some plan, probably, and either way, it made for an intensely enthralling hour of television and that's really all that I crave from that quarter these days. FYI )

Here are some more Buffy s.2 re-watch reactions for you. What's My Line, Part One - Bad Eggs )

It is abso-freakin-lutely gorgeous outside today. I got to wear sandals while walking the dog and get started on those very necessary summer sandal calluses. It's so warm that I have all of the windows open and I'm wearing shorts and complaining about how long and heavy my hair is. It's great!

Come on, brain. This is the second week in a row you've forgotten to take the soda cans back when you've gone grocery shopping. You know as well as I do that bottle return = money. Get with the program.

Well then, let's move this away from my short-term memory problems to some more Buffy s.2 Reptile Boy - The Dark Age )

I came up with the greatest law-nerd fic disclaimer last night. It's superb:

Disclaimer )

I am so using that on all of my stories from now on.

I updated my SPN fic recommendations over the weekend. Check 'em out.

Off to complete the Monday chores, which include giving the Pup a bath. Fun times in my apartment, let me tell you what.

I bought Buffy season two during an after-Christmas sale and have just gotten around to rewatching it. This is the first time I've seen a lot of these episodes since they first aired so it's an interesting blast from the past.

When She Was Bad - School Hard )

Fandom, you have failed. Christopher Wiehl, the actor who played Owen, one of Buffy's few non-vampiric boyfriends, is now on Jericho. This is information I should have learned from you. It's your job to keep me up-to-date on such esoteric matters. tsktsk

The Big Lug just called to inform me that as it's the first warm, spring-like day of the year the hippies are holding drum circles on street corners in Ann Arbor. This makes me smile. Oh Ann Arbor, I hope you and your $15 fine for marijuna possession never change.

Now I will outline and hope I get enough done to go and see Bridge to Terabithia this evening. And I should go outside at some point before sunset because it looks delightfully warm and sunny.

ETA: Hey, did you all know that John Popper was pulled over this week with a bunch of guns and pot in his SUV? My first reaction was to yell at the TV, "OMG, he's a hunter!" Real life continues to amuse and Vortex-ify.

ETA2: So, apparently Billy was at ORC with his band 'Beecake' and Orlando and Viggo showed up for a show? And Dom was outside in the parking lot after the gig? Oh, Fellowship, you still fill me with so much love and make me all flappy handed and misty eyed. There's a reason why you broke my RPF barrier. *hearts*

For those of you who weren't aware Burn My Sins Away has a subtle Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover in part 3. That has had my brain thinking ever since and whenever [livejournal.com profile] hiyacynth and I talk about it crack is spawned involuntarily.

The Magical Politics of HP and BtVS )

In other news I had felafel for lunch and it was delicious.

It is extremely hot outside and I have not turned on the AC at my apartment. I'm just stubbornly crazy like that. I just loll about the apartment in my underwear and sleep on top of the bedclothes, it's all good. I also survive on cold products. I have eaten more whole fruit popsicles and Klondike Slim-a-Bear ice cream sandwiches in the past week then anyone ever has before. There is also iced tea but the problem with that is that once you've run out of a pitcher you have to boil water in order to make more and, well, that's a bit of an issue. Thank goodness for the delightfulness of Mexican mango juice. (Viva JuMex!)

Have an appointment tonight to get my hair cut and colored. Yes, I'm dyeing my hair. I used to swear that I'd never do that because, well, just because (this was probably another example of my crazy stubborness) but I'm kinda going grey and it's getting pretty noticeable and I'm vain, I'll admit it. ;-)

Was up uncommonly early this morning and had time to turn on the tv while eating breakfast. Flipped by an early season two episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was reminded, once again, of how astoudingly attractive Anthony Stewart Head was/is. I obviously really have a thing for older guys. Eh, it makes a certain kind of sense.

Spent an hour this morning having fangirl discussion with the new(ish) person in the office. I may have been heard to spout such opinions as "Wash and Zoe are the greatest representation of a married couple I've ever seen on TV.", "Michael Keaton just couldn't believably portray the billionaire playboy aspect of Bruce Wayne's identity." and "Spaghetti sauce from a bottle is a kind of blasphemy."

Well, the world didn't end last week, though it sort of felt like it might. If nothing else the national events of the past week have convinced me that I have to get out there and do something to effect change both in my community and in the nation. I need to volunteer and I am very tempted to run for political office. I just need to do something to change the future that I fear is coming.

However, I took the weekend to recuperate. Shoot, I even called in sick last Thursday and then I spent the weekend watching the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season one dvd set that I recently acquired. Oh my gosh, there is nothing more theraputic then watching BtVS, even though season one was, on the whole, not nearly as good as seasons 2 and 3 were. And, just for the record, I am completely in love with Giles, it was inevitable and if I had been 25 instead of 18 when I had first watched the show I'm sure my adoration would have been cemented back then. I was getting rather possessive, it was kind of cute in a creepy way and included a litany of 'Back off bitch, he's mine!' everytime Jenny Calender came on screen. Hee

And may I just say, for the record, that the Buffy/Angel relationship is extremely boring and I care about it as much as I care about Jack/Kate on Lost, which is to say not at all. Blah blah blah.

I also accomplished much knitting over the weekend and completed the knitting bag that I sewed together from an old Mickey Mouse t-shirt. TV and knitting, the great panacea of all the world's ills.
