I took a break last night and went to FGC to watch some TV. My only reaction to an episode of a Certain Television Show that aired last night is the following embedded video. All thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dodger_sister for the lulz while Show was airing.

This montage is vastly superior to last night's because it's intentionally awful.

Well, clearly. It's kind of a "laugh or have to stab someone in the eye" sort of situation. Because, seriously, this is what we're doing now? We're having Very Serious Montages about Dean's feelings? Oh brother.

I went into a slack-jawed state of shock as soon as the montage began...all those rapid clips of Lisa opening her front door, back-to-back to make it look as if Dean's been repeatedly popping in and out of her life for the past ten years. And then all the rest of it. Family breakfast! Cute canoodling! Just-us-guys auto maintenance! I know there was more but I pretty much had my hands over my eyes for part of it. I still can't believe I actually SAW that. Do you think it was a mass hallucination?

But why would we hallucinate something like that? If we were going to have a mass hallucination don't you think it would be a better one? Or at least way more fucking trippy? Fuck, even acid couldn't have made that enjoyable.

When it started I averted my eyes in shock and dismay. And then it KEPT ON GOING! So I would look up thinking "It has to be over now" and it NEVER WAS.

This season is like that fic that you start reading because you're bored and you want to read something and then you KEEP ON READING IT even though it's all a little off and you're not really keen on the plot. You hit a point where you wonder why you're still reading but you're still bored and the author updates a lot and all of the really good authors are on hiatus/super busy in RL/writing Vampire Diaries fic.

I'm vaguely amused, though, that Dean/Lisa ended pretty much the same way that all of the Dean/Cas writers thought it would after the last season's finale. Except they didn't include a montage.

We live in dark times. Understandable that we'd dream darkly.

I take that back because The Montage (I think it needs caps, don't you) wasn't dark. It was just stupid.

I actually DID put my hands over my face. When I peeked through my fingers IT WAS STILL THERE. I'm sure in real time it only went on for 45 seconds or so...but a) that's a lot of screentime in a 39-minute show and b) it was so awful that it felt like a good five minutes. I think where I really lost it was when Dean and Lisa were being all cutesy in bed like Haley and Nathan from One Tree Hill. That was a new shot, but most of those clips were actually things we've seen before, it was just...having them all pieced together like that...with the music...was just...just....

I'm just gonna face the wall and rock back and forth a little.

I'm vaguely amused, though, that Dean/Lisa ended...

What, you think that was the end of Dean and Lisa? Oh, hell no.
