Have been ridiculously mood swing-y all week. Which is not very conducive to accomplishing much of anything at all. I've gone from being pretty okay to depths of despair (i hate my life, what am i doing, i should quit law school, i've never even liked the law anyway, omg i hate my life) and back and forth ad infinitum. Plus, I keep poking at these still raw spiritual wounds like a kid peeling scabs. 'Cause, you know, that's the smart thing to do.

Bleh, sometimes it would be nice to turn my brain off. For just a little while.

Saw Show on Thursday (yay! hiatus is over!). My one comment is that now I want to read creepy mental hospital fic. For all my years in SPN fandom that's the one thing I've never found. Oh, there's some out there, but none of it has ever satisfactorily pushed the button that craves that type of fic. What I'd really like would probably end up being some kind of tonal amalgamation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Shining, which is a pretty big demand, I know. And maybe, one day, I'll even find it, or become a good enough writer to write it for myself (though, please, let's not hold our breaths in anticipation of the latter).

OMG, I got my Farscape discs!!!!!! They are wonderful. Am already nearly halfway through rewatching season two. And things are only going to get more frelled, and more awesome. Seriously, why aren't Ben Browder and Claudia Black on my television screens every week? They are the kind of actors who should have work all of the time, not to mention Gigi Edgely and Virginia Hey and Anthony Simcoe and. I love my Muppets in Space show so frigging much.

There should be more muppets in entertainment. There should be a rule that every other movie has to have at least one muppet in it. If Avatar had muppets I might consider seeing it. [I think [livejournal.com profile] baylorsr's reason for not seeing Avatar sums it up best: it's from the man whose only note for season two of Dark Angel was to create a dogman. A DOGMAN. Plus, I've already seen enough movies about the white man's burden, thank you very much.]

And there you go. That's all the random news that's fit to print, with more than a little that isn't. &<3s

Am not so patiently waiting for tonight's replay of Friday's episode of Battlestar Galactica. Who would've thought that the remake of a campy early '80s, post Star Wars scifi series would be so enthralling?

Ran away from home for a little while today. Only about an hour. I bought myself dinner and wandered around the bookstore and bemoaned the lack of good fantasy novels in the world. Fantasy novels are my comfort food, I've been reading them my entire life and actually prefer them to most fiction or non-fiction books when I'm in the mood for some nice, satisfying entertainment-like reading. The problem is that so much of what's on the bookshelves is just so bad, like the bastard children of Tolkien created on steroids and sustaining themselves on crack and nearly as traumatizing as my allegory just was.

I just spent some time categorizing and organizing my icons as I have nearly 70 and was beginning to get confused. Of course, I was then dismayed to be visually reminded of how when you rename your icons they no longer show up in old updates/comments. How aggravating. But aren't my new icons pretty? *points at current example*

Have been watching some season 1 Farscape. OMG I love that show sooo much. How could I forget how hot and yet absolutely adorable Crichton is? He's like Adonis and, well, Wash rolled into one. Wow, I adore him, practically the perfect man. It is so sad that Ben Browder has been condemned to the cast of Stargate: SG-1 because that is a boring, boring show that I can't even bring myself to watch for Ben's sake. Must buy more Farscape ...

And, here it is, the continuation of the most self-indulgent thing I've ever actually written. Wherein Erin gets some 'intimate' contact, Heather is even more baffled and they all run for their lives.

And, to fulfill another promise, this one made to Erin in Seattle last week, here is more of my the birthday crack!fic. Wherein Heather and Megan finally get into it and Erin is the lone voice of reason in a cold universe. Oh yeah, and there are some Peacekeepers, too.

I ate my lunch for breakfast and am now snacking on the other half of a huge cinnamon roll the Da purchased. Should be working on new bill groups but have to post this now before I get sidetracked. Here is part two of the insane fic that I have entitled Crazy Adventures in the Multiverse. In this part there's a stand-off and swearing and much threatening use of sidearms. Heather lays the smackdown and Megan and Erin wonder why in the world they woke up at all.

If you can't tell, I'm really bored, mind-numbingly so. Said boredom has induced me to write something that is completely selfish, indulgent and pointless. The idea was spawned some months ago when I was wondering if I should write something for my friend Erin's birthday. I'd been writing vignettes for various lj people and thought it might be fun to do for someone I actually know. Hence, this strange concept was born and it's already given me hours of good, clean fun as I've contemplated what I wanted to do with it.

So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the beginning of a self-inserting indulgent sort of story that is hopefully a bit of fun.

And FYI, Heather, you're in this too;-).
