Am off to a baseball game tonight even though the weather man says there might be snow.

WTF, Michigan! Snow!? Let's anthropomorphize the weather for long enough to kill it.

I bought some of those Star Wars dark chocolate M&Ms yesterday. I have to admit that based on culinary taste alone the Sith get my allegiance over the Jedi. Sure I love peanuts with my chocolate but dark wins out over milk any day of the week.

Did you know that there aren't decent movies coming out this week? Thank goodness Hitchiker's Guide comes out next weekend. However, I notice that Millions has finally appeared at my local theater. I might have to check it out after I get out of the All Day Exam of Doooooom tomorrow. If I have any brain cells left.

Speaking of the Exam of Dooooooom, am still in very minor freak-out mood. Have come to the conclusion that I will either know things or I will not and the fact of the matter is I've spent the past 25 years of my life accumulating the kind of information, mind-set and experience that would serve me well in a job like that so either it takes or it doesn't. If this doesn't work out I suppose I could always go to law school;-). Or I really could run away and start the Revolution.

I have completely entered the internet age, I just bid for something over at eBay. Be nice to me, oh internets, for only yesterday I was an eBay virgin.

I slept for something like 13 hours last night. Wow. I must've been rilly, rilly tired. And now I wish I could remember what dreams I had because I bet they were doozies.

I bet all interested parties already know this, but just in case they don't, Eion Bailey will be on ER tonight.

John Kerry keeps on sending me emails. I sign one little online petition and I get a lifetime of messages as a reward. It's a good thing I agree with you, buddy.

I take the Foreign Service exam on Saturday. The freak-out will now commence.

I've officially hit the 'too damn bored' portion of my week. So, just for that, I'm going to sit here and ramble. Ya'll can read further at your own peril.

Avast and So Forth )

Word Origin of the Day: Patrol-Soldiers are fond of griping about the unpleasant conditions encountered while doing their routine tasks, including going on "patrol." This action, in fact, gets its name from unpleasant conditions. It began as the Old French verb patouiller, referring to "slogging or paddling around in the mud."
