Jan. 7th, 2009 07:51 pmAll right. It looks like the ayes have it and we'll be doing a crossover challenge. WOOHOO! It also looks like most people would prefer something that's more TV based than not. Now I just have to decide what would be more likely to get a lot of people participating, something extremely broad or rather narrow. I'm leaning towards the broad end of the spectrum, but let me know what you think.
My computer decided to be weird and suddenly it renamed my external hard drive from F: to G:. Now, this wouldn't be a bad thing except all of my music is on there and now none of my programs know where anything is. If anyone knows some sort of trick that will either 1) give the external drive back its nomenclature or 2) fix the bad iTunes locations in one fell swoop please, please, please let me know. I will sing your praises to the heavens.
I've started to notice a bit of fannish drift on my f-list. Which isn't a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination. New interests are always wonderful things and anything that inspires the creative juices is always tops in my book. It's just kind of funny because while other people find their fannish world extending I find mine narrowing. There are all of these new shows out there and I can't seem to find any ganas to sit down and watch any of them on a regular basis. I used to watch so much TV and now I watch hardly any at all.
It's a funny old world, it is.
Brrr, it's cold outside. That reminds me of when I was living in So. Texas there was a family who was coming up to MI so that their little son could have surgery over at Mott's Children's Hospital. Before they left they asked me what June in MI would be like and I think I told them it would be warm and generally pleasant. When they got back to TX they remonstrated me over the warm comment because when they were up here it was chilly and raining. It was a language problem, of course, because "cold" in TX doesn't mean the same as "cold" in a place where 8 degrees over freezing can seem like a tropical heat wave.
