We occupy a very tiny spot in the heavens and OMG IT'S SO AWESOME MY MIND IS BREAKING!

I am in a vid-tastic mood lately. It might be because of all of the fantastic new vids coming out of VividCon or it might just be becase vids are awesome. Either way, I think I'll share some more with you all.

Outlining, outlining, outlining. Studying, studying studying. I hate it all so very much. I even dreamed last night that I dropped out of law school and then had to deal with all of the 'OMGWTF were you thinking!?' from my family, which was less than enjoyable. And then I had a weird scifi dream that starred Jensen Ackles and it was not as fun as you might think. Let's just say it involved bad genetic augmentation, cloning, and Jensen's character unwittingly killing everyone around him.

Which was all probably exacerbated by some health crazy where I convinced myself I had a fungus bloom in my mouth. The way some people feel about spiders is how I feel about fungus. It's just wrong and it makes me manic and crazy. I really need to not go on WebMD. Gah.

Speaking of crazy dreams, Cut to spare the uninterested )

I am torn between being annoyed with how my brain hates me and enjoying the movie quality of a lot of my dreams. Cause it can be fun when my subconscious tells stories; fun or traumatizing.

They're talking about the search for other planets on the History Channel right now. I was so excited when the first extra-solar system planet was discovered. I may not have the math acumen that would allow me to become an astronomer but I'll always be a huge nerd for all types of space stuff. It makes my brain happy.

Okay, I guess I should go back to studying. Bleh bleh bleh.

I spent the entire weekend writing a sequel to my Jo-Kat story More Than Just A Pretty Face. I'm kind of impressed with myself that I was able to buckle down of my own volition and get it done. I did have to unhook my computer from the internet in order to accomplish it but you gotta do what you gotta do.

BTW, would any of you wonderful people mind beta-ing it for me? My usual suspects are helping me out but I would love to have another pair of eyes weigh in with opinions, etc. *makes big puppy dog-eyes at f-list*

ION: I have a spider living in my bathroom. I am only a tiny little bit bothered by this. You see, spiders and I have an understanding, I don't kill them and they help keep my place free of other kinds of insects like flies and mosquitoes and everything turns out pretty okay.

Also, I'm all grins over the 40th Anniversery of the Moon Landing. The universe is an awfully exciting place and the more we explore it the more exciting it becomes. SPACE EXPLORATION FTW

And GIP!

Today's weather has been one big April Fool's joke, I'm sure. Good one, Michigan, really.

*blehs*

Did you all know that Uranus's moon, Miranda, was destroyed by an asteroid, at some point, and then stitched itself back together? Isn't that one of the coolest things ever? The Da and I were watching a documentary on the Voyager missions on Sunday and that was only one of the nifty things I picked up. Miranda put itself back together. And if you dig up pictures its patchwork landscape is readily apparent.

Over at [livejournal.com profile] xovers_ftw I'm asking everyone to rec their favorite crossovers from any fandom whatsoever, and I would love it if the internetz at large (or just fandom) added their 2 cents. So head on over and share some stories with the group.

I kind of love crossovers, if you couldn't tell. ;-)

Am, like, ridiculously tired, so I think I'm going to go stare at the wall for a while. You know, fun times.

Had to take a sleeping pill to fall asleep last night. Course, that always means that I sleep through my alarm the next morning. Thankfully this time I woke up with plenty of time to get ready but it was still very disorienting to wake up and realize that I had turned off my alarm without even realizing it.

Realized last night that I'm just not cut out to write fanfiction in any great volume. I'm never able to connect with pre-existing characters in the sort of way that inspires me to write them. They inspire me in other ways. ;-) Will stick to haphazard attempts at original fiction and leave the fanfic to those who are more capable. Will never say never, though, because have written at least two pieces on spur of the moment inspiration and both were exhilirating experiences.

Found a great site that sells molds to make little sugar skulls for el Dia de los Muertos. They are very cool. Am having the strongest urges to go forth and buy people presents which must be restrained. Not that I don't want to buy people shiny things but because I don't have the money to actually purchase them.

The Mum has been insisting that I take an LSAT preparation course. This is a good idea but when the Mum starts insisting on things I start to get stubborn and contradictory, it's a bad habit. Anyway, went to register for a Kaplan course only to find out that it costs more then 1200 dollars! That's INSANE! I nearly had a heart attack when I read the price. I did sign up because, thankfully, I have parents who can give in to highway robbery but if I hadn't I would have been SOL. It's absolutely absurd.

I can't believe that astronomers are thinking about naming the 10th planet Xena of all things. Yeah, she was a kickass warrior princess but, come on, that's a little too nerdy, even for me.
