Nov. 16th, 2005 09:21 amWow. The trees are bare and the sky is grey. Helloooo November. You're here to stay with us a while, aren't you?
The Pup woke me up this morning. I was all content to stay snuggled up in my bed but he was having none of it. He ran upstairs, ran downstairs, jumped on me, chewed on my blankets and shoved his wet nose in my face. No good morning cuddle today, just hyperactivity and whining.
I promise I didn't throttle him ... much. ;-)
Missed House last night (WOE) because everybody was home and we were watching Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was, well, it was good, I suppose. The kids were wonderfully cast. I wasn't too keen on all of the Wonka flashbacks but Johnny was great, as always. I couldn't understand the Oompa Loompa songs very well but it was kinda neat the way that they used all of those different music genres. I wasn't wowed and amazed but it wasn't a bad evening's entertainment.
I think I just volunteered my TV for use by the rest of the family. There's is getting old and doing this annoying high pitched squealing thing everytime it's turned on. Maybe I need to squash that unfortunate sharing reflex or else by the time I get the hell outta Dodge I won't have anything to take with me. I mean, shoot, I already gave away my toaster oven and now my TV; what in the world will be next?
I suppose I should go and wash some dishes, earn my keep around this place. Wash dishes, cook meals, rake leaves, I don't need to find a job now that I've become the Lipton Family Housekeeper.

Date: 2005-11-16 03:13 pm (UTC)*shivers* yep. I woke this morning to snow and ice and nasty wind and COLD and, of course, since it was 60 degrees only a few days ago didn't dress for it. While waiting on the bus stop I think my ears started muttering mutiny.
Silly Pup! Doesn't he know cold mornings are for snuggling under blankets?
The real question is has your family managed yet to start a fire in your toaster oven?

Date: 2005-11-17 09:43 pm (UTC)If I thought yesterday was cold then I was sorely mistaken because today is much colder. And, the moron that I am, I keep on putting off getting my parka dry cleaned.
The Pup snuggles, occasionally, he just likes to play more. *grumble grumble*
No fires have been started, thankfully, though many things have been burned. ;-)

Date: 2005-11-16 03:24 pm (UTC)Weather here has also turned to crap. 30 degrees this morning, and windy as heck. I am not ready for my full winter coat and gloves gear. Woe is us. Surely winter in Wyoming is at least prettier?

*needs to make good "feckin cold" icon*

Date: 2005-11-17 09:46 pm (UTC)*shivers* I'm typing this with frozen fingers and a blanket over my shoulders. At least in Wyoming there would be so much snow that we wouldn't have to go outside. We'd all be sitting around the fireplace in the Common Room, drinking toasty beverages and telling stories.
It's a good dream. =D
*needs cold weather icon too*

Date: 2005-11-16 06:59 pm (UTC)And your pup sounds like my brother's cat: if you don't sleep with the door shut, she sits on your chest and bats your face until you wake up. :)

Date: 2005-11-17 09:49 pm (UTC)Yeah, but if I slept with the door shut then I wouldn't have my favorite bedwarmer to fight off the cold on these long winter nights.
