Jun. 7th, 2005 01:37 pmFeeling much better today. Thank you all so much for your good wishes and offers of hobbits and paratroopers and things, they were much, much, much appreciated. That and a certain 15-page treatise on Gibson Praise made me smile and giggle and laugh out loud. Wow, the good old days of X-Files show and fandom with the shippers and the no-romos and the UST and RST and casefiles and fluffy, fluffy het and the slash that I never read because Mulder/Scully, whether they're romantic or not is my original and only OTP but Krycek can have flings with anyone and everyone.
And if you go over here there's a way to view a sooper sekrit trailer for the second season of Lost that doesn't spoil anything and doesn't show a whole lot but will have my brain fuming and foaming all summer.
It's funny how some of my older friends see me as this big spoiler whore when it's mostly situational prostitution. I avoid spoilers for Lost and Serenity and Battlestar Galatica and Veronica Mars like the plague because I either already know that those are quality programs and am enjoying watching the mystery unfold or I hear they're quality programs and want to enjoy them as much as I possibly can when I actually get my hot little hands on them. However when it comes to things like Ep. III or Buffy Season 7 I'm all, "Spoil me up, bitch." because I honestly don't give a crap anymore. That's just the way it is.
Things are really going to be okay, they really will be. And if worse comes to worse I'll just jump in the GTO with Casey and Zeke and head on down to Mexico. =D
Word Origin of the Day: Hunch - Although the origins are unknown, this word first appeared in English in the 1500s. At that point, it was a verb meaning "to push" or "to shove," which also inspired the compound form "hunchback." The current meaning, which arose early in the twentieth century, probably alludes to the slight push that might accompany a hint or clue coming from another person.

Date: 2005-06-07 08:26 pm (UTC)Bad news: it's really freaking hot. Am stretched out in the backseat trying to catch a stray breeze. Good news: Zeke took his shirt off 45 miles ago. I'm hoping that Casey will start whining for ice cream soon. If he doesn't then I might just break down and do a little cajoling of my own.
Hmmm, teaching Casey spanish swear words would be an excellent way to pass the time ...
