WTF!!! This is not snow, this is a neverending pool of slush!!! Snow I can deal with, snow I'm prepared for, heck, I was even looking forward to a couple inches of the white stuff, not a freaking smattering over a semi-frozen soup that is covering everything! Getting to the office this morning wasn't hazardous in the 'drive very slowly the roads are slick' sort of way but rather in the 'I have to walk two blocks from the parking structure in this crap!' sort of way. I hereby lodge a formal protest with Mother Nature, stuff like this just isn't cool. Snow is okay, snow is preferable, snow I like. That's it, no Christmas card for that Nature bitch.

At least I didn't have to go to the other office today. I can only imagine that freeway driving would be twice as aggravating what with all of the people who would be driving 35 freaking mph.

Speaking of the other office, tried a new coffee house down there the other day. Walked in and was hit by the strongest scent of marijuana I've smelled since my college dorm. Ordered a hot chocolate and discovered that it tasted more like hashish then it did like chocolate. *sigh* It made me a little homesick for Ann Arbor.

I really must. Not sure that they'll have any Old Toby for us, but I'm sure they could provide a reasonable substitute.

OMG, I KNOW! I walked out of the house at 6:30 today and damn near walked right back in! WTF is up with this stuff?

I'd rather just have snow and tons of it!

What city do you live in??

*hugs*

no snow, or slush here...

Seriously. They shouldn't make us go out in this. I think adults should have snow days just like all of the kiddies.

I actually live in Lansing, which is a strange coincidence which [livejournal.com profile] baylorsr and I discovered this past June. We even work in neighboring buildings. It's all a very weird sort of kismet.

*hugs you back in show of slush-survivors solidarity*

Blah blah blah, Seattle is just the greatest place on earth, blah blah blah, rubbing the non-winter weather in my face blah blah blah

*giggle*

Sorry, I couldn't help myself;-). Seriously, though, I'm beginning to think that moving somewhere like Seattle might just be ideal. Except everybody there drives too slow.

it's true...speed of traffic is an unknown concept around here. but still...hee hee...tease all you want...just remember who won't have to dig herself out of a 5 foot high gray snowbank come February.

I can just see it now, me speeding down the freeway, swerving in and out of traffic and getting pulled over every single day.

Or, conversely, me creating new and inventive swear words because everyone's lack of speed is driving me insane. Hee;-)

I will have you know that in Lansing our mounds of snow are actually white, unlike some more south-easterly areas I could name.
