liptonrm_backupDude, things around here have been kind of srs bznz, haven't they? I blame my stressful, shitty life for sucking the will to live out of me. However, in an attempt to cheer the fuck up emo kid, here are some awesome things that have happened in the past little while.

baylorsrs and I had an early birthday celebration. I made the Baylor Sister an LJ for her birthday (she's now dodger_sister but she hasn't posted anything yet because, apparently, she's kind of overwhelmed. She's been out of fandom for a while so it's taking a bit to catch her breath. Plus, LJ is super-shiny.) Watch out, fandom, she's finally in ur LJ reading ur pornz. =D
My gift from them was so super-fantastic-awesome I don't even have words. It's an apoca-box! An apoca-box is a big plastic crate that contains things that I would need in the event of the apocalypse. These things include: a how to manual with recipes for things like soap and laundry detergent and other things that we take for granted in our modern world, a 6-pack of toilet paper, a battery-operated radio that also has a maunal-operating feature, rope, a Going Rogue coloring book (which is surely a sign of the End Times), thermal blankets, glow sticks, and a variety of other useful things. On the box's lid is a hand drawn devil's trap of the Lazarus Get Over Here variety and a warning to open the apoca-box in case of apocalypse and that opening the apoca-box may cause the apocalypse. OMG BEST FRIENDS EVAR!!!!!
I totally need to take pictures.baylorsr and dodger_sister are geniuses; evil, wonderful geniuses.
OMG my Big Bang story officially has an artist!!!! I can't wait to see what our powers combined creates. Which reminds me, I totally need to request beta help from you all. Mostly what I'll need is a fresh perspective on the finished product, someone who hasn't been buried in my head with me during the writing process. I would really appreciate any help you could give me.
And as an enticement here's the summary:

Summary: In 2005 Sam Winchester’s fiancée burned to death on the ceiling of their apartment. Sam would have died too if not for his father, John Winchester, who arrived just in time to pull Sam out of the fire. And then they both vanished.
Three years later Dean is trying to reshape his life after his abandonment. But all of that is about to be destroyed as he comes face-to-face with his family and the secrets they tried to protect him from.
A SPN Gen AU inspired by the movie Casablanca. Guest starring Victor Henricksen, Ellen and Jo Harvelle, Bela Talbot, Meg Masters, and Ash.
*claps hands in glee* I'm so excited! I can't believe I actually finished that story!
And now I shall attempt to answer comments on my Srs Bznz posts. Though I may just surf for a little while before I have to go to the bank. Because it's stressful but it's gotta be done.

Date: 2010-05-18 02:29 am (UTC)And, oh yeah, I must also finish your epic SPN project of big love - every time I think I'm finished, I think of one more to do. But I have decided that July 1st is my deadline and even if I have some unfinished fics in the back, they'll just have to come along later.
Because I must start writing the six M2 fics I have planned and can't spend forever with Rachel and The Mulvaneys (though, god, talk about my paradise!).
Remember, Apocalypse, come to The Farm. Bring the Apoc-a-Box.
Congrats on finishing your story after like forever, dude. I'm so psyched.
