Dear SPN 4x07,

OMG SAMHAIN you are saying it wrong!

Much battered love,

Me

It's like Wittgenstein all over again. Do I have to go up there and give them pronunciation lessons. Don't make me come up there, boys!

Me and Bobby will continue to look at you like crazy people until you LEARN HOW TO SAY IT RIGHT!

More salient and serious reactions to come, I'm sure.

PS: I totally started quoting that poem from The Grey King during the episode. You know, the one that starts off with, "On the day of the dead, when the year too dies ..." And you know what? I totally still have it memorized. Being a nerd is AWESOME.

PPS: I just went outside to blow out my jack o'lanterns (a couple creepy little kids and a spooky scarecrow. I'd post pictures if I could ever figure out how to get txtlj to work) and it was all dark and windy. I was sure something was going to jump on me while I was blowing out the candles. It's Devil's Night, you never know what might happen. *cue scary music*

PPPS: The Time of the Great Pumpkin. Trust me, you'll know why I thought of this while I was watching the ep. Robot Chicken FTW.

Sekrit code to [livejournal.com profile] baylorsr: It's finally open season on people!

Aaaah. Yes! The Grey King poem!

I have both poems memorized.

So...three from the circle, three from the track. Who are the three from the circle here and who are the three from the track? Dean Sam and Bobby? Three from the circle, Uriel, Castiel and...Ruby??

OMG I finally know someone else who has both poems memorized too! That is so completely awesome.

hmmm, three from the circle, three from the track ...

It could be Uriel-Castiel-Ruby and Dean-Sam-Bobby. Though that kinda depends on how Ruby turns out in the end. Gah, Ruby is complicated. And may surprise us all.

I was also thinking about Uriel-Castiel-Azazel (since I'd put good money on Azazel being an actual fallen angel) and Dean-Sam-John. After all, if this season's proved anything it's that we can't count either John or Azazel out, whether they're "dead" or not.

But the poem does kind of depend on the protagonists actually living through the endgame, so your first suggestion is a bit more plausible.

Now I'm totally going to be spending Halloween thinking about all of this and trying to parallelize more than Dean-Bran and Castiel-Will. I can't believe I got rid of the Old One cloak I had in high school. Oh well, being a witch is still fun, except with 100% less charred baby metacarpals.
