Summary: There are still reasons to fight.
Author's Note: Right after I saw The Dark Knight the first line of this fic popped into my head. I've been waiting to write it ever since. This is kind of on-the-fly and it's weirdly in second person but it works for me. Sometimes you wonder why anyone in his/her/its right mind would ever stay around Gotham, especially since horrible things won't stop happening. Hopefully this helps answer that question, at least in this particular case.
And I guess this fic could be sub-titled 'Law School is Good for Something After All.' ;-)

ETA: This is also my attempt to show that Rachel Dawes was more than just a Woman in a Refrigerator, no matter what Chris Nolan might lead you to believe.
