Nov. 4th, 2007 03:41 pmI am so jealous of all of the people writing stories or working on NaNoWriMo or doing anything creative whatsoever. I've reached that point in the term when all of my creative impulses feel like sludge and I miss their liquidity so much.
Yeah, I'll totally get some cheese to go with that whine and get over it. ;-)
And please, please, please people don't stop writing. I'd forgotten how fanfiction was pretty much the only thing that could get me through.
I don't have much to report. I updated my SPN fic recs last night. The quantity isn't as high as usual but the quality is through the roof.
hiyacynth has written some primo Sam Winchester dark!fic that I think everyone needs to read right now.
In the non-fandom world I have been plodding dutifully away at my studies and not accomplishing much else. I bore even myself some days, it's all very sad. *cries one, perfect, emo tear* Halloween was a bit of a bust because I had a big bucket of candy to pass out and no trick-or-treaters to share it with. However, that also means that I now have a big bucket of candy to eat, so I guess it turned out okay. ;-)
By this time next week I predict that the world will have ended in the Great Fangirl Apocalypse. Bring on the End Times, woohoo!

Date: 2007-11-05 03:10 am (UTC)I've been working on my midterm all day. Highlights include:
The AACR2R rules that dictate the formatting of the name "John Le Carré" are 22.1.D1, 22.4A, 22.4B3, 22.5A1, 22.5D1.
• 22.1.D1 says to include accents and other diacritical marks in a name. Therefore, the acute accent in "Carré" should be represented.
• Rule 22.4A says to select the part of the name under which the person would normally be listed in an alphabetic list in his or her own language or country of origin, which in the case of David John Moore Cornwell would be the surname.
ETC.
I've got five pages of this shit written up, and I'm only done typing up my answers to two of the six questions. I have two more of this kind of "short" answer (approx 1.5 pages each) done, the two 3- to 4-page essays outlined, and one short question not dealt with yet. AND I salted and burned a rotting mouse corpse. How is this our lives?
FANGIRL APOCALYPSE, TAKE US AWAY!!
Thanks for the pimp, baby! You're too good to me!
Hang in! Soon it will be Friday.

Date: 2007-11-05 03:25 am (UTC)*coughs* Sorry, got distracted by your icon. You raise a very salient point. How is this our lives? It's all rather strange and mind-boggling.
Good luck on the rest of the midterm. It sounds excruciating. :-(
The Fangirl Apocalypse can't come soon enough. *hangs on*
