Jul. 18th, 2007 02:58 pmA couple quick things.
Doctor's offices are less then helpful. You'd think that since the vast majority of the people who call them are sick the people who work the phones would, I don't know, embrace a modicum of politeness, if nothing else.
Also, maybe my expectations for what doctors are supposed to do are a little skewed but in my judgment it is completely reasonable to expect your doctor to take you seriously and if you've been coming to him with the same problem for around five years to have better suggestions on how to handle it then a "diagnosis" of soft tissue inflammation. That's not a diagnosis, that's a symptom.
Bleh. Sorry. Had a vicodin night last night and I have to go deal with my family doctor tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get what I want out of him (a referral) but I'm preparing myself to be treated like a crazy person. I shouldn't get myself all worked up like this. Must find my zen place.
I think I'll go watch 'Something Wicked'. Nothing is quite as healing as Winchester angst.
I really am a sick puppy. ;-)
Okay, brain officially fried. Off to eat pb&j.

Date: 2007-07-18 07:38 pm (UTC)Gah. I want my SPN S1 discs back so hard it hurts! I was JUST thinking about one of my favorite Dean moments (which I plan to steal almost verbatim), which comes from that episode. When they cut back from asking Michael to be bait, and Dean says, "Well, that went crappy." Just... Everything about Jensen's delivery there, and the timing from the beat leading up to it. SO good.
"I don't need a lending set. meynhghh!" What did I know?? *headsmack*

this all goes back to one thing...
Date: 2007-07-19 04:02 pm (UTC)The doctor who argued with me that I must not have listened when he told me how to wear my hand braces?
Stupid Person.
Get your referral, then find a good doc who actually listens. They exist. Somewhere.
