A couple quick things.

Doctor's offices are less then helpful. You'd think that since the vast majority of the people who call them are sick the people who work the phones would, I don't know, embrace a modicum of politeness, if nothing else.

Also, maybe my expectations for what doctors are supposed to do are a little skewed but in my judgment it is completely reasonable to expect your doctor to take you seriously and if you've been coming to him with the same problem for around five years to have better suggestions on how to handle it then a "diagnosis" of soft tissue inflammation. That's not a diagnosis, that's a symptom.

Bleh. Sorry. Had a vicodin night last night and I have to go deal with my family doctor tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get what I want out of him (a referral) but I'm preparing myself to be treated like a crazy person. I shouldn't get myself all worked up like this. Must find my zen place.

I think I'll go watch 'Something Wicked'. Nothing is quite as healing as Winchester angst.

I really am a sick puppy. ;-)

Okay, brain officially fried. Off to eat pb&j.

Doctors are so stupid sometimes! WHY is your soft tissue inflamed?? Do not let them tell you you are crazy. You are not.

Gah. I want my SPN S1 discs back so hard it hurts! I was JUST thinking about one of my favorite Dean moments (which I plan to steal almost verbatim), which comes from that episode. When they cut back from asking Michael to be bait, and Dean says, "Well, that went crappy." Just... Everything about Jensen's delivery there, and the timing from the beat leading up to it. SO good.

"I don't need a lending set. meynhghh!" What did I know?? *headsmack*

this all goes back to one thing...

I hate stupid people. People who don't believe you when you come in with truly viable symptoms fall into this catagory. The doctor who didn't believe me when I explained my allergies? A stupid person.
The doctor who argued with me that I must not have listened when he told me how to wear my hand braces?
Stupid Person.
Get your referral, then find a good doc who actually listens. They exist. Somewhere.

See, this is why I need people like you around because sometimes I wonder re: me being crazy. Well, ok, I know I'm not crazy about the whole sick thing but everything else is still up in the air. =D

OH!! That scene! There is so much to love in that entire episode and in that scene in particular!

BTW, you wanna borrow my lending set? It could be in your mailbox waiting for you when you get home ...

Why do some doctors have to be such complete and utter idiots? *headdesk* You think they'll figure stuff out and then it turns out you have to do most of the figuring and the pushing and convincing for them.

You're right, find a good doctor. I mean, they have to exist. Don't they? =D

Re the lending set... Maybe. Hang onto it for now, and I'll check with Trina when I get back to see where she is. I'll hit you up then if I need it.
