Well, my dear friends, today is my last day at work. This means that I will not be spamming your f-lists nearly as frequently as I have been for I do not have internet at the domicile. (woe)

I'm not feeling terribly nostalgic about the job, though I do think that I will be stealing the mousepad when I go. It's a really good pad, I picked it out myself. Shoot, it's not like they're giving me a golden watch, so what the hell. ;-)

Taking the real, official LSAT tomorrow. Here's hoping I do okay. I don't even want to think about it right now. Evil, evil law school. I'm sure I'll fit in just fine.

I've been reading a list of the 101 Greatest English Foods and it's making me hungry, except for the bit about Scotch Eggs. The idea of a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausagemeat and deep fried is rather repulsive. Ugh.

Serenity opens today, as I'm sure everyone reading this already know. Mirrormask also opens today in limited release. If you get the chance I would suggest seeing both movies this weekend (and if you see both that means that you live in one of the singular cities where they're both showing). Mirrormask looks to harken back to the heyday of Henson achievement with Dark Crystal and Labyrinth as filtered through the delightfully demented visions of Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean.

On a related note, I think I would like to stalk meet Neil Gaiman. He seems the perfect type: intelligent, British and twisted. Plus he's not so bad on the eyes. ;-)

Watched the season premiere of Veronica Mars, last night (yes, yes, [livejournal.com profile] hjcallipygian is a big ol' pimp). It was good. Nice shocking ending. Would never watch it instead of Lost but it's earned a VHS tape of its very own, with labels and everything. Also watched Supernatural and the brothers are still really, really hot.

All right, there's pizza to be eaten and things to not be done so I will go away and take care of it all. Kisses!

Word Origin of the Day: Lozenge - These days, this word refers to any type of soothing medicated tablet meant to be slowly dissolved in the mouth, but it originated as a more specific kind of tablet, one shaped like a diamond. The word was adopted into Middle English form the Old French word loseng; this was originally the root word lausiae in Latin. In that version, it meant "a stone slab" and came to refer to a diamond-shaped stone or object.

Stop making me cry.

I actually commented to say C3 makes wee bunnehs so it's still good.
