Sep. 20th, 2005 03:13 pmSo, went out to lunch at the new swanky restaurant near where I work. It is my favorite coworker's last day here and I felt that she deserved a nice going away.
Yeah, she's being 'transferred' to the Farmington office. She doesn't want to go, it's a huge commute, but she can't refuse it because it's either go or lose her job. Yeah, The Company sucks. The people in charge have their heads so far up their collective asses that they'll never get them out again.
This all called for an extra-special lunch, and it was. Had an Ahi burger (too much ginger but otherwise very tasty) and we split this chocolate passion fruit mousse dessert that was absolutely orgasmic. I'm not even joking. My coworker kept on making fun of the intensity with which I enjoyed the chocolate-y goodness.
The burger was really big. In fact, I had to open my mouth so far to take a bite that the first one made my jaw spasm. I kid you not. ;-) I must have been gritting my teeth this morning, or something, cause that was plain crazy.
Have been feeling particularly angsty lately. I generally deal with this in my time tested method, that of avoidance. Okay, okay, not the greatest method but one does what one can. And TV is so much shinier then stress and worry and feelings of inadequacy. And while avoiding I have wonderful experiences like surfing across a random LJ out on the interwebs where someone is pimping Damian Lewis to play Charlie Weasley and I know my fellow AWs have said that many, many times but everytime I think of it I have overwhelming spasms of joy.
To paraphrase Green Day, ya'll can wake me when September ends, plzkthx.
Word Origin of the Day: Sleigh/Sled - "Sleigh" is unique to American English. It was introduced by Dutch settlers in the 1700s, a variation of the traditional Dutch word slee, meaning "sled." The English word "sled" also shares this history.

Date: 2005-09-20 09:40 pm (UTC)as do orgasmic chocolate deserts :) but I eat those...
*hugs you, angst included* - it happens. Also, Damian would make an awesome Weasley! First time I've encountered the idea and I'm loving it! (can Malark or BABE! be one too?)

Date: 2005-09-21 01:38 pm (UTC)mmmm I want another orgasmic chocolate dessert.
Isn't it the greatest idea ever! It needs to happen. Unfortunately they'll never make Scott a Weasley because he's not from the Isles. Apparently the directors can be from wherever but the actors must be British (or Irish or Welsh or Scottish).
*big hugs*
wow...I'm low on non-Malark red-headed icons
Date: 2005-09-21 02:43 pm (UTC)and now I'm hungry
Yeah, I know Scott can't be cast (though he is at least part Irish I think...)
But that doesn't rule out Damian or Babe (who has a real name I swear...)
And Babe would make an awesome Weasley! (he kinda looks like Ron if you think about it)
