My brain is a gelatinous substance. Seriously. I can't seem to focus on anything and spend my days mindlessly surfing the internets, not really taking anything in. I suppose it's just one of those weeks. I'd really like some of my brain power back, plzkthx.

La la la, saw Batman Begins in IMAX last night. That's viewing #3 and it's all hella expensive but Batman is so worth it. I love that movie. I could watch it over and over and over again. I also feel as if I'm the only person on the planet who likes Katie Holmes character and wants to see the character come back for the next movie even if the actress doesn't. She's so much more then the 'love interest' and could kick Mary Jane Watson's ass anytime, any place.

Have my fingers crossed that the Pistons beat the Spurs into submission tonight. Freakin' San Antonio. *grumble grumble*

I hear that the Tigers have been playing the Giants for the first time evar. I see that the Vortex's powers are stretching out into the world of sports. End of Days, baby, End of Days.

Do you ever feel like there's something really important that you should be saying/doing/typing but for the life of you you can't remember what it was and the feeling just keeps on gnawing at you and nothing really comes of it? Yeap, welcome to my life.

You're not! I liked her! I don't think Katie Holmes brought anything unique to the role, but she didn't do a bad job of it.

If she (meaning Rachel) shows up in future movies, however, I hope they give the character more to do, though. Someone, somewhere, suggested that the Rachel character take on aspects of the Harvey Dent arc, which I think would be fascinating.

YAY! I'm not alone! =D

Word on Katie Holmes. I didn't hate her in the role, per se, but she didn't do anything extraordinary with it and when you're surrounded by such A+++ actors a little mediocrity sticks out even worse. Ever since seeing it last night I've been trying to recast Rachel but am having problems coming up with an actress of Katie's generation who could do the part justice.

They had better give Rachel more to do in upcoming movies. Her role in this one was a good size for the character, pivotal yet understated. Having Rachel become Two Face would be a great twist on Bat canon. I've also seen it speculated that she could become Oracle, which is also a neat idea.

I didn't dislike Rachael Dawes. I just didn't like her, either. I didn't feel like there was a lot of reason to care about her one way or the other. I mean... Let's do the math here (and this can apply to many other characters): emotionally disturbed billionaire with obscenely-rock-hard abs shows up out of nowhere after a seven-year abscence at the same time a dude starts flying around the city in a bat costume and beating up criminals. Hmm. Let us wonder if those are related events.

Anyway.

What up?

Hee, but that's the beauty of the superhero mythos, of course anyone with a lick of sense should be able to figure out that the secret identity but whoever said that people have any sense? =D

Hey you! Still in Boston? Not much up on this end, re: gelatinous oooze.

Will try! If necessary will enforce a strict LJ-quarantine to protect susceptible parties from this debilitating illness.

Nah, I'm home, I flew back in on Tuesday night. I've been helping my parents out at the office the past two days, which is why you haven't seen me online. Assuming you looked. =)

It just seemed like, in the film, Bruce was willing to let just about anyone find out he was Batman. Weird.

I think that only Doug Liman and Bryan Singer should be allowed to direct comic films now. No one else has proven to know how to actually film a realistic hand-to-hand fight sequence and do good dialogue.

I blame all gaffes and faux pas made this week on the gelatinous ooze that is my brain. Poor, ickle brain.

Yeah, the action sequences were a bit rough. I get what Nolan was going for but it didn't quite work out the way he wanted it to. I would be lying if I said that when Bruce was in that fight in prison I didn't feel a tad bit nauseous. ;-)

Don't worry, I'm sure it's only the Vortex at work. I'm sure that there is some nefarious reason for everything. ;-)
