PISS!! Law & Order: Trial by Jury was just cancelled. Now Kirk Acevedo is off my tv screen and Bebe Neuworth is probably bitching about how horrible televison drama is and she's going back to the stage where I'll never get the chance to see her again. If they had to cancel a Law & Order couldn't they have cancelled that boring Criminal Intent one and kept the one on with the actors I really liked?!

On the other hand they will be showing a Graham Yost mini-series called The 9/11 Project which sounds very, very good. It's called a 'high-pedigree ensemble piece' so here's hoping some of our favorite people get work.

Not much to report on the weekend front, took care of the Pup, sold the camper but the rest of the garage sale got rained out. Didn't see Mindhunters but did hang out with [livejournal.com profile] baylorsr and Her Sister on Saturday. Had some old high school friends drop by on Friday and I fired up the grill and served some pretty decent barbequed chicken. We watched a movie called What the Bleep Do We Know about quantum mechanics and all sorts of intriguing stuff. Realized that I turned out to be the one with the most ambition which is something I never would have imagined back in high school.

[livejournal.com profile] audiography is doing Big Band music this week. It's pretty dang sweet.

ETA: Damn, my rental company hasn't cashed my rent check yet. Now I have to go over there after work. Somehow I am reminded of Good Omens and how Crowley's most evil act was to have a huge, obnoxious freeway built. It's the little things that piss you off the most.

I admit to having given up on Trial by Jury very early on. I was bored and there wasn't enough Kirk. Now I feel all disloyal and guilty.

And sleepy? I tell you what.

Well, to be honest, I don't think I watched more then one episode either. So, yes, I'm a hypocrite, la la la but I'm still annoyed that they did that. At least when Buck's show was cancelled we all knew it was a bad show but this was a L&O show, I thought it would be on for years and years and years. Plus, it was still more interesting then that awful Criminal Intent thing.

Poor sleepy Cyn. Has to go back to RL after a weekend of debauchery fun.

I've heard of "What the bleep do we know". Is it any good. I'm in to that sort of thing?

I thought that it was really very good. Fascinating and thought-provoking and all good things. Plus in its own way it proves that fandom interactions and pursuits are just as important and vital as those in what we call RL, something that more 'normals' need to realize. =D

Medical Investigation got cancelled, too. My mom will be despondent, that was totally her favorite show (in a sincere way, too. And she's a nurse, so that makes it even scarier, because she knows how inaccurate it is). Unfortunately, as she is still stuck in Babyland she hasn't seen any of her shows in months. She was going to set up the VCRs to tape six weeks worth of Lost and 24, as she deemed those the most essential, but that fell by the wayside.

And thank you for turning my on to audiography, my dear! That is the most awesome music community ever, I'm loving it. I've downloaded like 15 tracks in the past two days.

Yeah, I heard about MI a little while ago. Poor Buck. It wasn't much of a suprise, though. I'd been hearing rumblings for a while.

Isn't audiography the greatest? I've probably downloaded 50 songs in the past week. It's so exciting! ;-)

I took your advice and finally joined Netflix. That is all I have to report today. Except that Boone and Frodo are going home together in a most suggestive way.

Ha HA! You will love Netflix for it is wonderful and addictive.

*looks at pics* Frodo and Boone had better be careful or they might make the tinhats angry and that's a scary, scary thing.
