Spam, spam, spamity spam.

Just took a walk down to the dollar store to buy a soda and enjoy the morning. On the way back I saw a car with one of those boots clamped on one of the front wheels (you know, like in that Simpsons episode where they have to go pick up their car from in between the World Trade Center) and a fire truck rushing down the street, sirens roaring. Plus I dropped my soda and had to be extra careful when I opened it.

Seeing Rita Sue on House last night has convinced me that the world is in need of more krazy krossovers. I don't need something long and plotty and epic, just little scenes where, I don't know, House gets abducted by the Carnivale or someone from Deadwood shows up in the O.C. or John Crichton appears in Smallville and shows them all what real angst is like.

[livejournal.com profile] baylorsr, Her Sister, and I have had some fun casting Easy Company into stock tv shows. Like, what if they were working in a hospital or a law firm? What sorts of jobs would which characters have and what kinds of crazy plots would they face? The great thing is, this could work for whatever happens to be your particular obsession at any given moment.

See, this is why I adore fandom. It's so rife with possibility.

I was just thinking the other day how much fun a Boomtown / Angel crossover would have been.

That would've been great! The possibilities for entertainment are endless. I can just imagine Joel and Fearless questioning Angel for some mysterious disappearance of some big-wig vampire he offed.

Angel: But he was a vampire, I had to do it.

Joel and Fearless exchange a look.

And think about how much better that Coyote episode would have been if the guy had been a werewolf.

And, seriously, there would HAVE to be a night at Caritas, because I will die if I don't see David McNorris singing "Margaritaville."

Oh! Fun! What songs would the Boomtown folk sing? You now!

OMG!! I would perform various obscene acts to see that!

I bet Fearless would sing something by Stevie Wonder (woe! my brain cannot recall song titles) and if anyone would sing Cher's Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves it would totally be Ray.

Joel is posing problems for me... What about "Hungry Heart"? That's a little over the top with teh pathetic, though. I doubt he'd sing something that obvious, though of course, Lorne would read the longing within him.

Yeah, Joel's tough to crack. I bet there's a part of him that would get a kick out of singing some big, cheesy power ballad but only if Fearless goaded him into it and got him really drunk, first.

I can see him singing something low-key and relatively short, like Punky's Dilemma by Simon & Garfunkel. Or possibly Hey, Jude.

My first love affair was so totally with books. Anything one can imagine one can create simply by writing it down. It's a miraculous thing.

Ahem, was discussing this with the girls last night and Adie says it should be obvious that Joel would sing 'Hangin' Tough'.

D'oh.
