OMGWTF! Why can I not stop coughing?! I don't think I'm sick, I don't feel sick, but I CAN'T STOP COUGHING! *grumble* *cough*

I blame it all on allergies.

Yes,
Sawyer is hot. That's about all of the interest I have in his character. I have a very difficult time feeling his pain and I'm not quite sure why. Was I supposed to be touched by the 'tender' bar scene between Sawyer and Jack's Dad?! It just wasn't a good scene, clunky and chock full of too much exposition.

I pity the guy but emotionally I have little to no connection to him. But, you know, it doesn't matter because he is very, very hot.

Hurley should be King of the Island. He seems to be the only one who knows how to get things done. While Jack is dithering in the jungle with his guns (and you can read that any ol' way you want) and Locke is wandering around being Wilderness!Man, Hurley is making sure that Ethan is buried and checking on Charlie's psychological well-being. I love Hurley.

I also love Sayid and wasn't his scene with Sawyer just the cutest? If I were to make one of those Hot Guy lists today Naveen Andrews would totally be on it.

I feel a little robbed of Charlie angst. The end of the episode seemed to suggest that he was all over his PTSD and was ready to be a psychologically stable member of the community. It's almost as if emotion is being sacrificed for plot in most of the storylines and it's a wee bit unfulfilling. I'm officially in 'wait and see' mode.

And while everyone is squeeing over the cuteness of Charlie and Claire, I am nervous. Maybe I've watched too much genre tv in my life, but I just don't trust happy, cute relationships. Something horrible always happens (for example: this is why I am nervous that Dr. Webster over on ER is going to turn out to have some horrible secret). I want the happy to be real and last but my intuition is shouting 'Pain is coming! Just you wait!'

I hear that starting in March there's going to be a 6 week hiatus for our show. The people at ABC really do hate us, don't they?

I brought left-over cheesecake into the office today and people need to start eating it or else I might eat it all and that would be baaaaad.

They do seem to like to skim over the consequences. Part of that is probably because the main cast is so extensive. It's hard to have a character based weekly tv drama when there are so many characters to focus on. You know, this season is kind of like the prologue of a book, setting up the characters and action for when the plot really kicks in.

I should just sit back and enjoy the Charlie/Claire because it is devestatingly cute. Sometimes I just want to kick that doom and despair voice that likes to sound off in the back of my head. I blame Farscape, I really do;-).

Big.Fat.Word on your Hurley comments. I want to see his episode yesterday. I'm kind of hoping that there's no big trauma in his past, that he's an ordinary guy because that's one of the things I enjoy so much about his character, that he's just like one of us.

It's a lot of fun when the tv starts smoking.

Maybe Hurley is Tom Bombadil. "Who is Tom Bombadil?"

i dunno, we're not getting "Lost" till March. I'm looking forward to it, though.

Ha! Hurley = Tom Bombadil. You know, I think this calls for fic.

And just when you get Lost those of us stateside will be suffering though a 6 week break. I promise to be annoyingly jealous *wink*.
