Have discovered custom friends groups, which is of the good because now I can be completely and utterly fannish without feeling a tinge of embarrassment at the thought of my RL on LJ friends shaking their collective heads at my insanity. It may be insanity but it's the good kind of crazy.

Started watching The Forsyte Saga last night. OMG, SO PREEETTTTYYYY! It's all Damian Lewis in Victorian garb and being all cold and asshole-ish and he does love his wife he just doesn't know how to show it and he's kind of a controlling bastard but dayumn if the overwhelming gorgieousness doesn't make up for it. It's so my new Victorian soap opera and I'm loving every minute of it.

Oh, and I was happily surprised to realize that Amanda Root plays Winifred, Soames' sister. She also starred in Persuasion, my favorite Jane Austen adaptation, with Ciaran Hinds who will star with Rick Warden in the new Rome tv series that is coming out on HBO later this year. And, to connect this line back to LotR, Ciaran Hinds was in Phantom of the Opera with Emmy Rossum who starred in The Day After Tomorrow with Ian Holm. La La La.

I woke up this morning absolutely convinced that it was Wednesday and that there would be a new episode of Lost for me to watch tonight. Was most distraught when I realized I had another day to go. Am heartbroken.

Must toddle off to purchase Dreamcatcher and Office Space. I may have no money but I need to own these movies and since Dreamcatcher is only 10 bucks over on Amazon I don't feel so bad. *bounces in chair*

Argh. Must find The Forsyte Saga... Stupid Blockbuster doesn't have it. :-(

That is why I have eschewed Blockbuster in favor of Netflix. Blockbuster is evil and has a limited selection imposed by the fickle decrees of a franchise owner who invariably does not pander to the tastes of the discriminating fan. Netflix happily supplies the good crack and doesn't judge or remonstrate.

Plus Netflix delivers, thereby encouraging me in my lazy home isolation.

Oh, I'm totally on board about teh eviiil that is Blockbuster. I used to do Netflix, but I discovered that as I rent about 1 movie a month, I was paying $18 a movie. I may reconsider in the future. For now I'll just grouse :-)

p.s. Charlie is for yay!!

Aaaah yes, if I only rented one movie a month then I would also depend on Blockbuster, no matter how evil it was. I am a movie fiend, it is an addiction.

Yay! Charlie!

I know. I don't know why he is so cruel to us. I'm torn--do I back out of the marriage because he will make me cry forever, or do I go on in hopes he'll feed me more crack.

He likes making people cry. It's his hobby.

And if you don't marry him I may just have to, so watch out.

When you put it that way... Step off, he asked me first :-)

I'm through with the BoB!crack. That story is pretty much all I want to say for now. Much like The Falcon worked out everything I really wanted to say in LOTR fanfic. At least for a few months. Until Girl of the North Country.

OMG you are breaking up with me. I promise to love you even if there is no further crack.

Clearly I must now devote myself to reading The Falcon and Girl of the North Country.

That's okay. The crack you've already provided is of the highest sort and for that you will have our everlasting thanks.

*genuflects*

It's comfort enough knowing that we're all jonesing for our next hit together.

Custom friends groups are a wonderful thing! Of course, everyone I know in RL already knows I'm fannishly insane. What I need is a RL brain filter that prevents me from talking about fannish stuff at work and places like that, lol.

I've been consoling myself for the better part of a week now that a new Lost episode is right around the corner, and it's almost here. Just one more day to get through. :)

I used to be able to separate my real life from my fannish life. My friends always knew I was crazy but they were able to ignore it and I became adept at the silent squee. Sadly, I'm not as adept at that as I used to be.

I know! Me too! I keep on telling myself that new Lost is nearly upon us but this last day is going to be a killer! I need to see Charlie and Claire and Sayid and Hurley! I need it, precious. *gollum*
