Am very tired of the cold. It can be spring now, please.

Am also very tired of how cold it is in my office. This building doesn't seem to have any sort of good heating. My hands would like to be warm again sometime in the next decade, please.

Yesterday was ... interesting. Heard some news when I got into work in the morning that had me feeling contemplative and solemn for the rest of the day. I'm still not quite able to process what I was feeling into words, so all I'll say is that it's amazing how one life can touch the lives of so many other people and how valued that one life can be by both strangers and friends.

Then, at the end of the day I got some great news. I was able to go pick up my car from the body shop. It was fixed and new-seeming and shiny and it runs better now then it did before the accident. I'm ecstatic to be my own transportation again. I've had a lot of help in the past week from people who were more then willing to ferry me to and from work and for that I am extremely grateful.

I refuse to think about how grateful my credit card company and my local municipality are to me. They are both going to make quite a bit of money out of my momentary blindness.

I came home to find my shiny new copy of The X-Files season one by my door. It was on sale at Amazon.com for $35 and even though I shouldn't have even spent that much money I couldn't resist such an amazing deal. Am very much looking forward to popping that in the dvd player, once I finish watching the episodes of Farscape season one from that shiny new dvd that was purcahsed a few weeks ago.

brrr *shiver*

Glad to hear about your car and your XF DVDs. Both should help for the weekend.

This week has been weird, hasn't it? It's like all the free-floating depression and anxiety settled down on us yesterday. I'm projecting so much stuff onto poor Johnny, it's not even funny. Then again, I'm listening to the Austria music, and that's just ... good.

Oh man. Farscape. I miss it so bad.

It's certainly been a weirdsadgood week. Hearing about Johnny yesterday really made me sit back and think about life and death and the stories that will never be told. It made me think about my grandfathers, both of whom have passed on and both of whom I never really knew. I wish I had had the chance to hear their stories.

And yet, it is good to know that all of these wonderful people lived real lives and did extraodinary things because they were living their lives. It's better then good.

I didn't realize how much I missed it till I shelled out for the first volume of the new Starbust Edition. Wow, is it ever wonderful.

There's just no end of good in seeing John and Aeryn and Zhaan and D'Argo and Rygel and Pilot and Moya back in action again.

*hug!*

Yes, feeling much brighter, thanks in large part to your wonderful pictures. It has been such a comfort to know that there are people out there who get it, who understand and are feeling the same things that I am, just like you said.

And Farscape season one is even shinier then I had remembered it being, if that is even possible;-). They're all so happy and not!crazy. *happy sigh*

That show broke so many boundaries. It was just incredible.

I want someone to name their central star after me.

In other news, I am a big pathetic dork: I'm in my office in short sleeves and a scarf, because my neck gets cold easily (I'm prone to sore throats) but the rest of me doesn't.

See, I thought the golden age of Farscape was when Zhaan was still around. Chiana was also a dude. But also, I have to make a case for the crazy!Crichton. He was all sexy and evil and hurty. Yeah boy, as we say.
*happy sigh too*
Those were the days, eh? Except, again, none of my friends really liked it, so I was all alone in the worship of Farscape and the hotness that was John Crichton.
x.

I have to agree with you on the Golden Age of Farscape. Zhaan was an amazing character and brought a very special dynamic to all of the character interactions that was sorely missing when she was gone. Thankfully, the loss of Zhaan did not destroy the show in general, as a comparable loss would have done to so many other kinds of shows.

Oh yeah. Crazy!John is all kinds of sexy. I loves me some of that craziness. Thing is, for some reason I missed a lot of the early episodes of season one with relativelysane!John so I'm both intrigued and in mourning for that loss of innocence.

Hee. I have to admit, I was a little bit better off then you back in those days. I had a friend to enjoy the hottness with and a brother to enjoy the geekiness with. Course, I had a roommate who insisted on watching and recording another show that was on at exactly the same time, but that's a whole different story of frustration.
