Good morning.

Yes, it's fecking cold but, seeing as how it is actually warmer then it was over the weekend, I am not too distraught over the situation.

My feet, however, are very distraught. I think I will have to start wearing woolen tights into work just to save myself from frostbite.

What with the lack of car and the astonishing amount of snow that was crapped onto my fair city I spent a nice, relaxing weekend curled up on my couch watching television. It's all kind of a blur. I finally caught A Mighty Wind but, as is par for the course with Cristopher Guest films, I was less then impressed. Intellectually I understand why people find this and other films like Waiting for Guffman absolutely hillarious, I just don't. I suppose my sense of humour simply isn't subtle enough.

I have discovered the Sunday Hour o'Pretteh. I spent the time between 7 and 8PM flipping back and forth between The Practice and Jack & Bobby, two tv shows for which I have absolutely zero interest save for the fact that trough some sort of rerun synchronicity Ron Livingston is guesting on the one and Bradley Cooper is guesting on the other. (For those of you who do not know who Mr. Cooper is, here is a picture of him) I was highly entertained.

I did actually leave my apartment on Sunday to trudge my way to the corner store to pick up soda and crackers. I had run out of both and it was a bonafide emergency.

And on we trudge through the weary work week.

I would have shuttled you to Kroger, silly girl! Do you need a ride home from work? I wondered if you needed one this morning but figured you would call if you did. I should have had you come over sometime this weekend, but changing out of my pajamas seemed like such a Herculean task. Also, would you believe that lazy-assed cat of mine spent all weekend in bed?

Don't worry about it. Not only did I think you were in Jackson, but I also kind of wanted to take a walk, if only so that I could pretend that I was in Bastogne with Lip and the boys.

It was kind of nice to have a quiet weekend all curled up on the couch in a near-comatose state (broken periodically by various squeeful sightings, like Dom on I love the 90's: Part Deux. I think Zippo had the right idea.

Bastogne is cold.

I wonder how cold it really was at Bastogne?

That's a good question. In my imagination it's as cold as the past weekend has been.

*stores question in 'Look That Up Soon' section of brain*

Down with snow and weary work weeks. This is my first five day week since before Christmas, I think. I'm not looking forward to it.

On the up side... Um... Pretty boys are everywhere!

Mmmmm, up side. And a very good up side it is. Hee, that reminds me of the three or so times that I watched the beginning of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood on TBS this weekend just to catch a glimpse of Matthew Settle.

We can do this. We can totally make it through the week. I hope.

*crosses fingers, knocks on wood and repeats i can do this again and again*

It really was. You know, it's kind of nice to every now and again have absolutely nothing to do and nowhere that you can possibly go. Very restful.

I know whatcha mean about Waiting for Guffman. I tried so hard to like it. Same goes for Day Without a Mexican. But again, it just wasn't my kind of comedy.

Finally, someone who understands. It's nice to know that there are other relatively sane people in the world who don't like those un-funny comedies.

I was starting to feel un-smart for 'not getting it', whatever the hell it is.
