liptonrm_backupWhat a devestating week it's been. My heart mourns for the destruction that has been visited on Indonesia and Sri Lanka and so many Pacific islands. The casualty numbers are overwhelming and incomprehensible. I don't have words fit enough to express what I am feeling and my own reaction pales in comparison to that of the people most directly affected. illyria_novia is safe and yet I grieve for all of the loss and destruction that has been heaped upon your nation and fellow Indonesians. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all those who are suffering so much at this time.
There is so much in this world that we still do not understand, so many forces that we battle with minute by minute. Thank goodness for the comfort and strength we find in each other. While we do not have the power to change the tragedies that surround us we do, at the very least, have the ability to succor those who are in need, whether physically, emotionally or spiritually.
