Lost baby, where have you been all my life? That was amazing and suspenseful and just so damn wonderful that I can't get over it. I haven't felt this way about a TV show since the early seasons of X-Files or the heyday of Buffy. It's like JJ Abrams sat down with his writing staff and said, "What can we do to hit all of Megan's kinks all at the same time?" and then proceeded to read my freaking mind. Stranded on a desert island, a mysterious monster, lots of cool creepy characters, Greg Grunberg, suspense and most important of all DOM!

Matthew Fox aka Jack was cool and all, but did anyone else think that he was a little too good to be true, what with the being a doctor and keeping his shit together and knowing about transceivers and stuff? I just don't trust a character who's that freaking perfect.

THEY KILLED GREG! THOSE BASTARDS! Wails of sorrow were heard emanating from [livejournal.com profile] hlgraban's house when she and I realized that Greg Grunberg was playing the pilot and that he was going to freaking die! I guess a show with both Greg and Dom would have just been too much to hope for. Poor Greggy. *sob*

And then there was Dom? Could he have been any cuter in that scene where he was talking with Kate and she was trying to figure out why he looked familiar? He was cute and I loved him and his character definitely has more going on underneath the surface. Secrets, man.

Shoot, all of the characters are just chock full of the hidden lives. I loved how everything was one big mystery, from why the plane crashed to who everyone is to what is that thing that's living in the jungle and that freaking ate Greg! I can't wait to see part II of the pilot and revel in the deserted island-y goodness

Also watched Smallville last night, but wasn't nearly as excited. Eh, there were parts I liked and it was better then most of last season, but it wasn't enough to keep me watching when Lost is on at the same time. Sorry guys.

And this is the cutest thing ever. The Mum tried to tape the Law & Order premiere for me last night as I was in A2 and we were both curious about how the show would be without Jerry Orbach. She wasn't actually able to tape it, but it's so neat that she tried. We might just bring her into the 21st century yet.

When my mum had her first CD-player, she called me (she lives about 500 miles away from here) and she complained that she wasn't able to insert the CD. I asked her what exactly she'd done, and she said that the CD was simply too big. Thus I found out that it was still in the box, and that she had tried to put CD plus box into the player... and I had a hysterical laughter breakdown.

She has started a computer training nowadays, and she is 72! There's always hope. *grins*

Hee, that's a cute story too and you're right, there is always hope.

My mum has actually conceded to using a computer as a word processing unit, but I think she's afraid that she'll bread the internet if she ever actually logs on.

Oy, I can only imagine what my future kids will say about me some day;-).

My roommate and one of our friends watched "Lost" last night (I missed it because of class), and they're calling Jack "Gary Stu". They would definitely agree that he's too perfect. I've *got* to get my hands on a copy of this show. :)

You need to skip class every week because Lost is just that important! I'm sure your professor would understand.

Okay, maybe not, but it's still a good dream;-). I would totally send you a VHS copy if I had one. I hear it's out there to be downloaded and that both parts of the pilot will be playing back to back on Oct. 2nd.

I was curious about Lost but I'm already too busy to find time to watch it. :(

That really does deserve the frowny face emoticon ;-(. It's a great show.

Hmmm, I know that Heather is taping every ep so that she can watch Smallville (which is on at the same time). Maybe if you beg and plead enough she'll send those tapes to you after she's done with them.
