Learned a valuable lesson last night, do not go out and do anything social with one's siblings, especially if said sibling is of the opposite gender and the social event is with people who are primarily his friends and unknown to you.

For some strange reason I decided that going to a barbeque with The Big Lug and a bunch of people from the young single adult church he goes to was an okay idea. And the barbeque was. It was just the 'hanging-out-with-buddies' part and the 'going-to-pizzaria-at-midnight' part that weren't as entertaining. I'm old, I need my sleep;-). And when surrounded by young college co-eds I feel my age even more. Oy, get me a walking cane and a rocking chair on the porch, I'm done;-).

I did call Erin in Seattle at midnight (my time) and had a nice little conversation with her. I don't believe my exhausted ramblings made much sense, but I'm not worried, she's an expert in translating Sleep-deprived!Megan.

My throat hurts, that's strange.

i believe

Yay for sleep deprivation! Of all of the useful things we learned about in college, that was one of them;-).

And I'll scurry off to fix that. Though, I have to ask, are you human? Are you sure you're not a figment of your own imagination? What is human?

Heee

it would be cool if i was a figment of my own imagination...but that wouldn't explain why i have to go to work every day.

btw...hot tea w/ honey is good for that sore throat :)

You should try translating a sleeping Megan. I remember this one time in college I was pulling an all-nighter studying for the Psychology final after seeing Third Eye Blind in concert, and I remember her muttering something in her sleep. What's wierd was that I think I actually understood it, but then when I tried to think about what she'd actually said, I realized I didn't know what she'd said. Very strange. Like speaking in tongues. Do you believe in that?

I didn't really, or rather I thought it just meant different languages, but my sister actually witnessed people speaking in Tongues when she went to a friend's church one Sunday. She said it's not different languages, it's just kind of babble that you can understand when you listen to it, but then if you think about it... you can't. Same sort of thing I guess... Strange.

So what do you think of that? Can Megan actually speak in Tongue, or was I just going a little off the deep-end in my own sleep-deprivedness and hell-bent concentration on Psych?

I got an A on that final by the way... or maybe it was an A-.

one more thing...

um, yeah... hanging out with brothers and sisters doesn't really work when their friends are included. Sometimes it doesn't even work with just them! Depends on how well you "click" I guess. I'm pretty different from my sibs, so I don't hang out with them much. I don't think I've EVER just hung out with my brother before, other than at home maybe. Whoa, that would just be wierd. My sister on the other hand... well, been there and done that, and hey, don't really do it often for a reason. She's um, well, she's really extroverted I guess. To be honest, I think she acts pretty stupid sometimes, but she never listens to me anyway, and I'm not the social butterfly, so what would I know about it anyway? ( I just keep remembering the time she walked up our 1/5th mile long driveway which was about ankle-deep in snow, wearing only a mini skirt and platform sandals. Yup, smart girl. The things people do in the name of fashion!) What can I say? Maybe, oy?!
