I can't remember a more gorgeous stretch of weather. Spent the time after work relaxing in the backyard, reading Mary Magdalen: Myth and Metaphor by Susan Haskins and watching the dog roll around in the grass. I would've gotten a tan if only the sunlight hadn't been reflecting off the pages of the book up directly into my eyes. Lovely, lovely day.

A wonderful balm to the craziness that was last night. Spent the evening in A2 with [livejournal.com profile] hlgraban and Dan (and added my soon-to-be famous cheesecake to the celebration) and had a good time. However, the Big Lug came down to see His Girl and so he was the one to drive home. He was stupidly text messaging while driving (though I told him not to) and when we got caught in a sudden rain storm he lost control of the car, we spun around twice (almost hitting another car in the process) and ended up backwards in a ditch. Thankfully no one was hurt and the car was fine but still, he's an idiot.

I don't know how people can't love Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I just finished watching the cutest episode and I was so amused that I couldn't stop giggling. The characters make the show and I'm sure I wouldn't surprise anyone if I said that I want to marry Chief O'Brien in another life.

*hugs to all my friends* It's just a euphoric day.

I don't care what people say. Using cell phones while driving is a bad idea. Sure, radios, etc will take your attention away from the road, but only momentarily. Cell phones are evil, evil I tell you! ;)

Glad to see you're alright. That's what is most important.

Yeah, cell phones are bad. I don't get too pissed when people have quick, to the point conversations when their driving, but long drawn out ones and/or text messaging should be banned. It's just sensible.

Course, my brother's not known for having sense;-). And I still can't believe how lucky we were. Wow.

hey now!

give the big lug a slug in the arm on my behalf please...he's not allowed to almost get anyone killed b/c he can't take an hour and a half away from the darn cell phone. while you're at it, smack him upside the head too!
