Up, Down, All Around
Jun. 28th, 2004 12:57 pmSo much time has passed, so many things to talk about and so little time. Haven't been feeling so hot for the past couple of days, it's that weird thing I get every few months. The doctor's best guess is some kind of benign soft tissue inflamation, which, in doctor-speak, translates to "I have no fucking idea why you're sick because even though you say you don't feel well nothing is showing up in any of the tests we run so I'll humor you because it must all be in her your head" or something to that effect;-).
Eh. Worst part this time has been the Mum heckling me to go into work, even though moving just isn't my idea of a good time, at the moment. She has this idea that you can never take a sick day, ever, or you'll lose your job. You know, it's amazing I'm not a paranoid agoraphobe. Really, it's a miracle;-).
Spent Sunday watching TV and putzing around the internet. Saw that Salem's Lot mini-series on TNT and what I took out of it is that I hate vampires, I despise them. And it was hillarious that Rutger Hauer played the big, bad vampire, a fact that made me remark at one point that he couldn't be so bad because Buffy had already killed him once;-). Over all, the best Stephen King mini-series I've seen, easily taking the number one place away from The Stand (*shudder* Molly Ringwald. Ugh). Great acting, good production values and an engaging script. It made me happy, in a strange, twisted, 'I hate vampires, I really, really hate them' sort of way;-).
Blah blah blah, obladie, oblada, life goes oooon nah nah nah nah life goes on...
And Monday is half way over.
