So, I feel like everything's been kind of doom and gloom around these here parts for a while now. All grumble grumble no control over my life. So plz to insert your favorite knock knock joke here.

Anyway, I'm heading to DC for the weekend. I'm going to some Mormon Singles' Conference (aka the LDS version of The Dating Game) because the Mum really wanted me to go. BUT it does mean that I get an almost-all expenses paid trip to DC for the weekend, and if I decide that I don't want to hang around with other Mormons after the Friday-evening river cruise (OMG, there's a river cruise, it's like a chick-lit cliche brought to life) then I can just spend the rest of my term being a ginormous nerd at all of the national history sites.

I think I want to tour the White House. Because that's where the President lives. ;-) I've also promised dodger_sister that I'll take a picture of the tidal pool over by the Jefferson Memorial because there was this one scene in The West Wing. I also need to go to the MLK and FDR memorials since I've never been to either of them. And the Library of Congress because it's the Library of Congress, how awesome is that?

I'm also going to head down to Richmond on Sunday to see the rest of the family. Both the Big Lug and The Wrestler are in the area and the Philosopher just quit her job at Cedar Point to spend the rest of the summer with her hubby.

Here's hoping it will be a good weekend. Even if it is wretchedly hot. \0/

baylorsr rolled her eyes when I told her about the picture taking of that one place where Josh wore his sunglasses and threatened that guy. I don't know if it's because she didn't know which scene I was talking about (having not memorized every nuance of everything Josh ever did, Josh Fucking Lyman!) or if it's because she thinks you shouldn't enable me. Whatever. Josh is a hot-ass.

I can't believe you are at that thing this weekend, instead of here, talking to me about As All World Turns. Dammit. Nobody wants to play with me tomorrow. Boo. Clearly you are never allowed to go away again.

Anyone singing the Ghostfacers theme song there? OMG, it's late. I'll stop.
