Ugh. There is absolutely nothing worse then searching the internet for a job. I officially want to scratch my brains out, curl up in bed and eat a mountain of chocolate-y goodness, in that order. Gah. I'm either under-qualified or the job is crap or they're only hiring in agency. Yeap, time for a nice, healthy breakdown.

I am so glad I was completely spoiled for last week's Angel before I saw it last night, cause then I was able to turn off my brain, wait for the bad to come and let it wash over me without any sort of effect. And people wonder why I'm such a spoiler ho. I totally should have done this for Chosen last year, might have put less stress on my heart. Though, I did find the Illyria-as-Fred bits to be sufficiently creepy. Ugh, don't think I've been that creeped out since I saw The Ring, but in a good way this time;-).

Hmmm, nope, no spoilers in the last paragraph, so no lj-cut for you. Hee hee!

I am completely disgusted by everything that has happened and is happening in Iraq. There are no quick solutions, no easy answers and it would be really easy for a large hunk of the American population to say 'I told you so' cause... we did tell you so Dubya, but you're obviously much too busy to listen to your nominal bosses (since, after all, we didn't actually elect you or anything like that). We're left with so many questions and everywhere you turn it looks like the only decisions that can be made are the wrong ones. I ache for all of the people who have lost so much, on all sides of this horrible war. I want to do something to make this all better and know that there's nothing I can do. It's as if we're all stuck in a nightmare of our own creating.

Well, actually this mess was created by people with a serious lack of conscience who did everything to get the war they wanted, sad to say. And now peole on both sides are suffering because of that.

It's very true, and even though I never supported the mess in the first place, I still feel as if there should be something that I and other like-minded people can do to fix the situation, but then I realize that there's no way to fix something like this and that makes me want to just go start my own country where everyone is friends with everyone and we just live our own lives.

*sigh* And this is why I don't pay attention to the news more then necessary;-).

Don't give up hope! Although it is horrible to have to admit there is nothing we can do about this current mess, everyone who is unhappy with the current administration and it's actions has to step up to the plate to make sure that Dubya is not re-elected. That won't automatically make things better but it is a first step in the right direction.

Exactly right! I didn't vote for him in the first place and I definitely won't be voting for him in the fall! Still, the situation doesn't seem very hopeful, one way or the other; it's no wonder I spend most of my time in Middle earth;-).
