Aug. 4th, 2009 05:30 pmI'm so done with law school, which may be the cause of all of my grrring all over ya'll. I just do not care anymore. grr grr, blah blah, listen to me whine. The world's tiniest violin is playing as we speak.
I am also hungry. I know! Let's talk about food! I love food, it's so yummy and wonderful. Right at this very moment I'm really craving backlava. mmmmm flaky layers of pastry sweetened with honey and packed full of pistachio nuts. *swallows* Really, there's nothing like it. Any assortment of Middle Eastern pastries would also be more than satisfactory. They're not too sweet but not overly savory. There's this consistency to the pastry that's crumble but not and the fillings ... *licks lips* I feel like Homer Simpson when he's drooling over rich, creamery butter.
Now it's your turn. Tell me what you love about food or what foods are really doing it for you right now. Or tell me what your favorite characters are eating. Really, tell me anything about food, context and capacity doesn't matter. Let's just celebrate one of those ubiquitous things that make life worth living.
What are you eating?

Date: 2009-08-05 02:19 am (UTC)This may account for something like 1/3 of my lifetime consumption of lamb. (My parents were leery of it, both having grown up poor and hating mutton.)
So much great food over the course of 5 days.

But, yes, OMG LAMB. Everything you've described sounds delicious. Food is such a wonderful thing.

Date: 2009-08-05 06:56 pm (UTC)And I am so totally there with you on all of the wonderful in-season berries. I've been eating so many cherries lately that I'm sure I'm going to wake up one any morning now.
OMG CHIK-FIL-A OMG!!!! I have only ever eaten there once in Virginia and it was the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH EVER. And then I came back up to Michigan and there is no Chik-fil-a to be found. *foodlusts all over your CFA goodness*
