You'll have to let me know what you think. I'm still working on GenX (probably because we're still working on ourselves), but Green Day - American Idiot makes a pretty decent anthem for the moment.

Date: 2008-09-25 06:34 pm (UTC)And I appreciate how 'American Pie' speaks to the naivete a lot of Boomers grew up with in the 50s and the way adolescence/adulthood and the 60s shattered so many of their perceptions about life. My mom still talks about the 50s and Leave it to Beaver as some sort of halcyon, perfect era.
