So, the official word is that I'm leaving England on Saturday morning. I'm rather disappointed that I won't get to spend more time here, but at the same time I'm kind of relieved. I haven't been feeling any better and even if I did concentrate primarily on sightseeing I wouldn't be able to do nearly any of the things that I wanted to do. I'd just end up spending a lot of money and being generally lame(ish). I'd much rather be lame in my very own bed, thank you very much.

Heck, all I did this morning was walk down to the city centre to exchange a t-shirt and pick up some other souvenirs and I still had to come back and take a very long nap this afternoon. And I didn't even get all the way down to the Thames, like I wanted to. Really, going home is for the best. I'm determined to get back here one day, regardless.

I did do two things of note today: I ate a traditional English breakfast and I had lunch and the Eagle and Child. Breakfast consisted of sausage, bacon, a fried egg, toast, chamomile tea (since I don't drink black) and beans. It was heavy, and rather bland, and a lot more meat than I generally consume in the morning. I had to buy an apple right afterwards just to counterbalance all of the animal proteins. It was pretty much what I'd expected it would be and I can now say that I've eaten it. Go Team Me. ;-)

I had fish'n'chips at the Bird and Baby. It was fine, and reasonably priced. The ambience was definitely worth it. One day I would like to go back with a bunch of fangirls and discuss fanfiction. It seems like the thing to do. I haven't made it up to the Professor's grave yet, but I hope to be able to do that tomorrow.

I leave Oxford on Friday and I'll spend a day in London. I won't be able to see all that much in only a day, but at least I'll get to be there. I decided, to hell with the cost, and booked a room at an actual hotel, rather than a hostel. I'm tired of feeling crappy in a dingy little room. I want one decent night's sleep before I have to get on that Trans-Atlantic flight. Here's hoping that Delta has more commodious planes than Trans-Air.

Seriously, and I can't repeat this enough, never, ever take Trans-Air. Ever.

I do have pictures of Oxford, but I haven't uploaded them quite yet, so you'll just have to wait. I know, I know, you're dreadfully disappointed.

I keep on talking myself out of going to see Prince Caspian at the local cinema. While seeing it in Oxford seems really, really appropriate, it also seems really, really expensive. And I have seen it at least 4 times. Oh, Narnia. *happy sigh*
