(no subject)

Wow, it's been nearly a week since I updated. I was in some kinda funk last week, apparently. And now that I've snapped out of it it's hotter then Hades and all I want to do is find an agreeable lake/pool/random body of water and lay in it till I turn into some sort of prune-like object. It's so hot that I'm nearly able to break my cheapskate code and turn on the AC in my apartment which is quite a testament to Mother Nature's sadism. Though she has reason to be sadistic, after all, we burn oil so that we can cool our homes which seems wrong on some fundamental level.

Yes, I was raised by a damn dirty environmentalist, why do you ask? *snerk*

The first submission to the A Pirate's Life For Me! ficathon has been posted. You should all go and read writerj's great story Invention, a rousing tale of a hobbit on the High Seas. It's up to J's usual high standard and is fun and witty and surprisingly touching. Go. Read. I command it. *giggle*

I solemnly swear that tonight I will sit down and start writing my own pirate tale. Now that the Multiverse fic is finished and edited and sent off I can focus on all of my other poor, neglected stories.

A word of warning, if you're watching TNT's Nightmares & Dreamscapes make sure that you watch something else before going to bed. Not only did I have a hard time falling asleep because I was sure weird things were stalking me in the dark but I woke up at least 5 times from strange and disturbing dreams. My overactive imagination will be my downfall one of these days, just you wait and see.

Over the weekend I also watched Walk the Line (aka Joaquin is smokin' and I now need the 'Live at Folsom Prison' record), an episode of Hetty Wainthropp, a couple episodes of The O.C., and the second half of the cast commentary of RotK with the Baylors (*sniffle* I miss the boys so much). It was a pretty good weekend.
