(no subject)

I was looking through the posts I've made this week and OMG! this has been the most pointless week ever. I don't think I've ever had a week that has had less purpose.

Hold it, wait, baylorsr's birthday was this week and that was pretty cool and so totally point having. This week wasn't a complete wash after all.

Unpopular Fannish Opinion #678: I think Naomi Novik's Throne of Jade is more interesting than Black Powder War.

Unpopular Fannish Opinion #2: Joss Whedon is not as cool as fandom thinks he is. No, really, he's not.

Speaking of, it's been buzzing around the interwebs that teh Whedon has fallen madly in love with BSG (from what I saw of his post over at Whedonesque the man's as big a fangirl as any of us and I wouldn't be surprised if he were already shipping Lee/Kara *shudder*) and it's funny to see some of the fan reactions. One person speculated about Joss possibly writing an episode or so and how that would be great because BSG isn't angsty enough and I was all 'NOOOOOOO' because I'm still trying to get over my post-Whedon PTSD and and learning how to maybe, possibly, trust television show writers to not RIP MY HEART OUT OF MY FUCKING CHEST FOR NO REASON AT ALL and if Whedon came to BSG there could only be pain. Thankfully I think Ron Moore's too much of a control freak to let anyone like Joss play in his sandbox. Ya' gotta love creator-type egos. =D

I'm making a mix called, 'Yo Ho Ho: The Anne Bonny Remix' in celebration of PotC: Dead Man's Chest and I want to fill it with all sorts of rebellious, fun songs (and maybe a few nautically themed ones) preferably from a female viewpoint. I'm at something of an impasse with song selection so if anyone can think of any songs that would fit please point me in the right direction. Ya'll are the greatest, as are pirates.

Later today I'm going to finally write up the Sam Winchester meta that's been bouncing around my head ever since I saw the season finale, thus proving that while I might lust after love Dean best Sammy has a special place in my heart too. SPN is love.

ETA: I haven't had a chance to respond to the music meme tagging by writerj because I am lame and all of my music is on my other computer. However, I will do another meme in the interim.
