Jan. 7th, 2006 05:31 pmSaw Brokeback Mountain with the Baylor Sisters last night. Am apparently dead inside as I did not weep uncontrollably at the end. I did feel sad and wistful and a little choked up but the tears did not flow. Hence the deadness. ( Read more... )
Came home from that movie to discover that the Wrestler had rented The Island so we killed time watching that. Yes, I know it's a Michael Bay movie and yes, it was kinda stupid but in its defence it is better then Pearl Harbor. Not that that's a thrilling defense, but there you go. It was kinda fun watching all of the 'L.A.' bits that were filmed in Detroit because every now and again the Da would say something like, "There's the Penobscot Building." and we would laugh because Bay didn't even try to make it not look like Detroit.
And Scarlett Johanson can't act, but we already knew that.
Because we watched a crappy Michael Bay picture, the Wrestler and I missed the new episode of Battlestar Galactica, which was vexing. We got kinda caught up this week on SciFi only to miss the new ep. *sigh* It is nice to have the Wrestler around because he'll watch the scifi shows with me and there will be mornings where I wake up and think to myself, "Did I just hear Simon Tam being snotty or was that a dream?" only to find that he's watching 'Bushwhacked' upstairs. Not that he's a Firefly convert but that's probably a good thing. Stupid, freaking Joss Whedon.
I really have to go see Narnia again.
