Michigan officially hates me, what with the freezing rain and the grey skies and things of that nature. What have I ever done to you, Michigan, that you should hold me in such contempt? Don't I defend you too all? Don't I feel in my bones that you are the greatest place in the world? Don't I love you enough?
*is melodramatically heartbroken*
Dude, today's Valentine's Day, or VD, as I like to call it. And we all know what VD stands for. In the immortal words of George Luz, "Flies spread disease, so keep your's closed."
Speaking of, had a fangirl geek-out while at my parents' house last night. The Mum had The Longest Day playing on the satellite. (This being one of my mother's favorite movies. Suddenly my deep and abiding conversion to a love of all things BoB is not so incomprehensible.) For those who don't know, The Longest Day is a movie that dramatizes the events of D-Day by focusing on all sorts of different people, like german officers and infantry-men in ships and, of course, paratroopers. Had a long moment of silent flailing when I recognized a group from the 101st by the patches on their arms. This group included a Company First Sergeant and a Short Guy (or, as I immediately dubbed them, Lipton and Perconte).
Started doing the exercise tape again on Saturday. Am still sore. You know, back in the bad ol' days of my dieting OCD I was able to do that whole thing through with hardly a twinge. Now I use the stop and go method and my underused back muscles hate me. *pets muscles* Oh well, can't work out tonight as am donating blood and don't feel like passing out and hitting head on very solid, new (for me) coffee table. Ha ha! Tae Bo is foiled again, at least until tomorrow night.
