I'm tired of being cold and I'm tired of the furnace turning itself off on the coldest nights of the year, necessitating much banging and praying and holding of breath until it turns itself back on. At least the Scrappy-pup still manages to serve as a furnace-type as I sleep. I love my pup.

The past week's been a mash of good and crappy and mind-numbingly banal. On the good side (as I am determined to only focus on the good;-) had a fun movie night with [livejournal.com profile] hlgraban and Dan on Monday. We rented The Odyssey, you know the old mini-series from back in the high school days of the mid-nineties. I was rooting for another viewing of Return of the King but at least The Odyssey had Christopher Lee in it to feed the addiction. It was fun to just sit around, eat delicious honey butter popcorn and make snarky comments about what was going on in mini-series land. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun video but there's always room for snark;-). We need to have fun movie nights more often.

Have to go see the doctor today. Bleh. I hate physicals. It's supposed to snow some more today. Double bleh. So, to spice up life, here's a little question. Because of the popularity of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies fantasy movies are on the rise. What, then, would you choose to be the next fantasy book/concept turned into a movie and why? (The next Harry Potter films do not count, since they are already going to be films, if you follow)
