Ups and Downs
Jan. 10th, 2004 06:20 pmSo, we started painting the BB's bedroom today. There was much rejoicing when all of the weird drawrings were finally painted over and I got to use an electric sander to sand down some of the spackle on the walls. You will not believe how many holes are in those walls and how dingy they are. I don't know how he did it, but he sure made a great big mess out of it all. It's rather impressive, in a sort of way;-).
Yay! The diet is over! The Mum was really ill yesterday from the stupid thing, so it was decided that we'll be going on a modified sort of South Beach Diet. Enough was finally enough! Yay!;-) Another benefit was that the Da and I got to go out and get some Mexican food for dinner last night. I so love beans and rice and chicken enchiladas and these were just perfect. They might have all been stuffed with lard but it was so, very yummy;-).
So, I've watched a couple of DVDs in the past few days, so here are some of my ( Thoughts )
A cool coincidence happened today. I was out shopping at Best Buy (where I picked up Blade Runner and Gladiator and only after I bought them did I realize they're both Ridley Scott films. Kind of funny;-) and who should I run in to, but my old friend Amy! I haven't seen her since she got married over a year ago. It was fun to talk to her for a couple minutes and I'm looking forward to getting together with her soon. What was funny was that, apparently, she had been cleaning this week and found an old, old, ancient letter I had sent her and had been meaning to call me. Sometimes I'm almost tempted to believe in fate;-).
Happy, happy Weekend!
