I'm home.

*huge sigh of relief*

Travel was a trying ordeal, as all travel is, but it was better than the flight over there was. I connected through Cincinatti, which I thought was pretty funny. If Gatwick is Heathrow's poor country cousin, then Cincinatti is the, well, I don't have an appropriate familial metaphor at the moment, but it certainly was smaller.

Though the beagle they had sniffing bags in Customs was adorable. I kind of wanted to play with him, except he was working and that wouldn't do. And in the waiting area they had these great massaging chairs which were just what my back needed after a trans-Atalantic flight. Those were awesome

I spent Friday in London, which was a lot of fun. I met up with [livejournal.com profile] cunien for lunch. She tried to kill me with an axe at first, but then we had a good lunch, so I forgave her. [I kid, of course, she didn't actually try to kill me with an axe. It was a spoon.] It was neat, sitting in a cafe in SoHo (a fairly awful cafe, mind you, but still, sitting at a cafe) talking about life and fannish things and generally having an excellent time in each other's company. I can only say, once again, that there's nothing better than fangirls.

I also went to Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. I really, really, really wanted to go see some Shakespeare at the Globe, but by the time I got back to my hotel to look up location and times I was too exhausted to go back out again. So that's something I'll have to do when I get back.

You guys totally should've seen my tiny little hotel room. I guess it was worth 85 pounds, it was clean and well-maintained, but it was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Thank goodness I'm not claustrophobic or I never would've been able to use the bathroom.

It was a good weekend, but now I'm home, and I'm glad. I'm going to sit back, relax, watch some TV, play some Sims, register for classes, and try not to think for a couple days. That sounds like a good plan.

And, yeah, the massage chairs were pretty amazing.

haha mima the would-be ax murderer! or would that be, mima WOULD be the ax murderer of the group? cynth uses chainsaws, no? or was that jess?

HA! I think either one is pretty accurate.

And Jessie's totally the chainsaw user. Cynth is totally more of the baseball bat type. ;-)

ah, thank you for clearing up my confusion! decapitation = mima, bludgeoning = cynth, dismemberment = jessie. You are all such sweet wonderful girls!

For the record, I'm the clown with the knives.

We are sweet and wonderful girls! Who just happen to have a prediliction for homicide. *shrugs* It's a thing.

Of course you're the clown with knives. I don't know what's creepier, the clown part or the knife part. No, the clown part totally wins. *shudders*

So good to have you home where I can (almost) get my hands on you. Or at least call you without inurring (sp?) international charges.

Yay for fangirls who don't kill you!

You'll get me yet, your pretty, and my little dog, too! *g*

Non-homicidal fangirls are so the best kind!

Yay, glad you got back okay! That cafe really did suck, didn't it? And I tried to restrain my axe-murderish qualities, I hope they weren't too apparent!
x.

You hid them really well. They only showed through when dealing with those idiotic cafe employees. But they really deserved them.

I hope you're feeling better, sweetie! If not I may have to fly back over the ocean and give those hives a very stern talking to.

*hugs*
