OMG I cried like a tiny little baby at the end! No, it wasn't at Bad Wolf Bay. I'm glad that Rose/Doctor got some kind of closure but, ummm, I'm kind of over it now (Plz to not be killing me Rose/Doctor shippers!). I cried because of Donna, OMG, Donna! Cuz she never knew she was special until she went with the Doctor and found out things about herself and now she won't remember it and all I can think about is that scene in her alt-world eppie where her mother was being all, "Yes, you're a disappointment and a failure," and the look on Donna's face and OMG! I'm going to start crying again. It would almost be better if they killed her, because at least then she'd know who she is.

It's like, remember in the Silver on the Tree when Bran and Jane and Simon and Barney all had to forget everything they'd done during their quest? It's exactly like that and I hated it when I read it then and I hate it now! Except it's kinda worse and OMG Rusty STOP READING SUSAN COOPER OMG!

*takes a deep breath* I am proud to announce that [livejournal.com profile] hiyacynth mostly called the bit with the hand. She took her hypothesis in a different direction then the show did but she totally called healing via creepy, creepy hand. *bows in her general direction*

Yeap, Martha and Mickey are so joining Team Torchwood. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that. I mean, no one can replace Tosh or Owen and it's nice to know they're not trying, but at the same time ... I don't even know. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes.

Though it will be awesome to get more Martha and Mickey. OMG LOL, Smith and Jones! *iz amused* And did you see the way Martha and Jack were holding hands? They totally love each other, and not in a shippy way. Jack kind of gets stars in his eyes around Martha Jones, not that I blame him in the least. And, man, did you see the way she stood up to Davros with that world destroying key? Awesomesauce.

And now is the time when we pimp Sarah Jane Adventures to everyone. Yes, it's a kiddie show and suffers, at times, because of it. But in some ways I love it more than Torchwood. The characters are extremely likeable and competent, I'd much rather save the world with Team Sarah Jane than anyone else, nearly (b/c if I could save the world with Team Martha Jones I'd jump at the chance). If I were really 12 years old rather than just acting like it, from time to time, it would probably be my favorite show on TV. Since I'm actually 29 I can still enjoy it for what it is. And, don't worry, K9 hardly shows up at all. I think the producers recognize that a robot dog is a bit much to take, even if you really are 12.

In sum: Big Fat Sniffles. I'm really going to miss Donna. I can't believe she's gone, but not gone, and that we'll never get to see her again but we'll always know she's out there. And once again the Doctor is alone, but I don't think he's truly lonely. Really, I don't know why he didn't just go off and have a nice holiday with Team Torchwood. They'd love to have him. He and Ianto can share embarrassing Jack stories and Martha and Mickey can give him loving grief while Jack has very vivid dreams about having Three Doctors at the same time. And Gwen can look on in amusement while actually getting some work done. He'd have fun.

See, Doctor, you just need to get over your emo self and go to Cardiff. Maybe I'll see you there.

Yeap, watching the Doctor in real time was glorious. You poor saps not in England don't know what you're missing.

Randomly: I think my really uncomfortable mattress has bugs. I really hope I'm being paranoid. 'Cause, ick.

I KNOW!

Also, two doctors? Yes very please!!! I kind of called the whole second doctor thing but not, when I told everyone at work that I thought the doctor would grow out of his old hand and how stupid that would be ha ha ha but it looked way cooler than I'd thought it would. The degree of naked Tennant invoved might go some way to explaining that.

Poor Doctor. Everyone gets a happy ending but him. And Donna, but she doesn't know it. I love Donna's grandad so very much too. :D
x.

I kind of loved them all for the cheesy sci-fi elements of the last two episodes, the Doctor growing out of his own hand being a great example of it. And, yes, naked Tennant does make everything better.

Donna's grandad is prety much the greatest. You can totally see where she gets a large dose of her own awesome from.
