Jan. 24th, 2008 06:33 pmSo, this has been a truly sucktastic week. Too many hours spent in hospitals, too many tears shed and surgeries performed. January can seriously end any day now.
My friend's surgery went well and while there was a short clot scare everything looks pretty okay right now. Thank you all for your prayers and good vibes. Believe you me, they were very much appreciated and felt.
On the way home from the hospital last night the rear view mirror in my car fell off because I was banging on the windshield wipers trying to get some washer fluid out of them. The ride home was fairly harrowing (the hospital is a little over an hour from where I live) but I made it in one piece. Got everything fixed today and am giddy that I can now see out of my previously salt-encrusted windshield. I would spend more than $400 dollars in order to avoid a terrible high-speed death on the interstate.
Today is Dean's birthday and yesterday was National Pie Day and I think I should have pie to celebrate with. Unfortunately I do not have any. I could go to the store and buy some but it's very cold out. But maybe if I had pie Dean would show up on my doorstep. Oh the conundrum.
I got a little writing done in the waiting room yesterday, but not much. I also got a little knitting done but at one point I started dropping stitches left and right and decided that my knitting time was officially over.
I am now going to go stare blankly at the TV, and maybe get my clothers from the laundry room. Only a week until January is officialy over. Thank goodness.
ETA: If anyone has any fantabulous crossover ideas we're still accepting prompts over at the SPN Crossover Challenge. Just so you know.

Date: 2008-01-25 07:16 am (UTC)Please do not dabble with high-speed death on the interstate. That would make my January even suckier than it has already been, and that would tip me over into FIXED-SMILE-CRAZY-EYES-I-WILL-KILL-THE-WORLD mode. Which we don't want to see.
I feel as though I have let Dean down thoroughly by a)not having pie and b) not having anything to offer him or the fandom in general creative terms. However, there has been talk of a themed WPT which will totally have a reason for being late for Dean's bday, and also (which brings me on to my next point) a crossover fic. Does the comm accept random crossovers that haven't been prompted? And is there a time limit? Because stuff is sort of spilling out of me now but it's hellish random and I've no idea if I can shape it up enough to let it out into the world without wanting the ground to swallow me whole. Because it's two of my very favourite fandoms (SPN and BoB, lol) and I don't want to tarnish the both of them for myself or others. :)

Date: 2008-01-27 09:43 pm (UTC)*big hugs* My dearest wish is for February to be much better to us all than January was.
OMG, you should totally write up all of your random crossovers and post them to the comm. I've opened the whole thing up for any crossovers that fit the parameters (ie, SPN involvement) so plz to be doling out the crack. And while I did put a time limit on the challenge it's more of a stick to get people to actually write something (myself included) rather than an actual limit. I do strive to follow the pirate code in all things.
XOXOXOXO
