Jan. 10th, 2008 10:33 pmSo, apparently today is a day to spread joy, or some such? That's cool, I always highly approve of the spreading of joy. Unfortunately, I have nothing new to offer on that front.
The only thing I have is a snippet from my slowly progressing story.
Emo joy is my favorite kind. ;-)
One of my new professors speaks in metaphors. I kid you not. He spent something like 30 minutes last night telling a story about his pet turtle Fern. If you paid enough attention you could kind of figure out the point he was trying to make, but it wasn't very linear. I see Professional Responsibility is going to be an exciting class. If only I can manage to stay awake, that is.
I finished reading The Lions of Al-Rassan again, for the umpteenth time, today. It made me cry, of course. No matter how many times I dip into that world the beauty and tragedy of the ending never ceases to affect me.
You know another thing that always gets me? The end of season 4 of The X-Files. The
baylorsrs and I watched 'Demons' and 'Gethsemene' last week and it was quite the overwhelming experience. *flaps hands* Somehow
baylorsr and I didn't end up on the floor, rocking in the foetal position, but it was a near thing. Oh, X-Files, you really did ruin me for tv for life.
Ummm, yeah, I think I'm going to go try and do some more productive-type things. Carry on, internetz, carry on.

They could fake civility pretty well, most of the time, but in the car all of their pretenses cracked and everything came spilling out. After all the time they’d spent in that damn car in their lives you’d think they would’ve figured out how not to bite each other’s heads off during a long trip. They’d both been well-conditioned by the fear of John Winchester’s strong right hand reaching out to smack the loudest offender but Dad was gone now and Dean was a stubborn idiot and no amount of careful foresight was enough to avoid the new pitfalls strewn throughout the ever-treacherous Winchester Emotional Minefield.

Date: 2008-01-11 03:45 pm (UTC)I've always wanted to know, not wanting to wade into the Wiki of it all (you cain't trust that site half the time), is Sam demonspawn?

Date: 2008-01-14 08:36 pm (UTC)Ahem, your question actually raises a rather dramatic issue that at one time had
The question still remains whether Sam's powers came from the ritual or whether he was chosen because he had powers. And now that demons are calling him the Boy King and the Anti-Christ no one's entirely sure what's in store for the tallest Winchester.
And here I bet a simple 'yes' or 'no' would've sufficed . =D
