Dec. 13th, 2007 10:10 pmSo even though I was in a lot of pain I went and I took my final and now it's all done and over with! Yippee!! Now I can get back to the important things like replying to comments and reviewing stories and even writing a few of my own. Three glorious weeks of freedom.
And there were Winchesters to reward me for all of my hard work!
How much do I love this show? OMG, too much to even say! But, man, the Anti-Clause was freaking traumatizing. I loved Santa when I was a kid! And then with the torture and the gore and, wow, I know the holidays can be hell but that was something else.
But wee!chesters! OMG, they got the same kid back to play Dean! And Dean stole Sammy a crappy Christmas! And Sam gave Dean the amulet! And Uncle Bobby! *flaps hands*
I wasn't too fond of the whole, 'Sam is 8 and still doesn't know about the things that go bump in the dark' but I can deal with it. It's okay, la la la. Because John is, was, and always will be Dean's super-hero. And poor Sammy finding out that there are monsters and they killed Mom and might kill Dad and nobody will ever be safe. *ruffles his poor little head*
I was pretty much incoherent by the end of the episode. It hit all of those wonderful, angsty schmoop buttons and I love them for it.
Also, digging the continued Gaiman-esque portrayal of pagan gods. Our show has its varied inspirations and its not afraid to show us.
For the record, a December without snow in Michigan isn't all that strange. Why, just last year we had rain on Christmas instead of snow. This week when everyone else in the midwest got hit by a nasty storm we had a little rain and a little snow, but nothing dire. It's the lakes, they're quite the meteorlogical insulaters.
But why am I nitpicking, Dean said Michigan! And I've lived right by Ypsilanti! My little brother goes to school there! It makes me so happy that that's where the Winchesters had their schmoopy Christmas, Dean's last year notwithstanding.
*happy sigh* Winchesters For The Win. You, once again, made me cry and make squeaky little, incoherent noises. I so love you best of all.
Wow, that was a lot of exclamation points. I guess I liked it. =D
A little birdy tells me that it's
kroki_refur's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! I hope it was an awesome day and the next year is even awesomer. I know that my world is much shinier for having met you.
I think I'm finally getting into the holiday spirit. Thank you, Supernatural for making me fear and love Christmas all at the same time.
Okay, time to take my medicine and go to bed. LOVE YOU GUYS
