I haz a passport!!!!111!!

Sorry, I've been upbraiding myself for thinking in lolcats grammar but I can't stop. I'm so excited about my passport having status! I can go to Canada again! Or anywhere in the world! The picture is atrocious (am I really that fat? is my hair really that awful?) but I don't care because I have a passport!

I also have ice cream and two bars of dark chocolate. Today is shaping up to be a pretty alright day, even if I do have to finally put together that Relief Society lesson I've been procrastinating over (which is vaguely ironic seeing as the lesson is about not putting things off;-).

Speaking of having papers, I'm sure you've all heard about that RealID claptrap. Talk about something that is patently unconstitutional. Yes, freedom will always be sacrificed on the altar of security but this is ridiculous. Freedom to remain freedom must be real and practical, not battered and forced into solely an illusory concept.

That reminds me (because the Mum and I discussed the above at dinner last night), somehow I always end up talking about Supernatural with my mother. I'm generally an expert at keeping RL people completely separated from my crazy fannish side but things keep on popping out. A few weeks ago I used the show as an example of how acting on television has become superb nearly across the board and last night I had a whole meta thing. It was all about how in high school and college I watched The X-Files, a show about two people struggling to save the world from evil forces and now I watch Supernatural where two people struggle to save their family and whatever other individual or family they can help along the way. There's a whole discussion behind this about how different generations view the world differently and how I've changed in the past decade and how that has changed my world view.

I love the things good television does to my brain.

It was so nice earlier in the week. Now it's hot and sticky. I love Michigan but sometimes it's a little much.

Yay!! With your brain and your passport, there's no stopping your ultimate world domination!

*is your humble minion*

But world domination is so taxing. I'd have to, like, do stuff and get up off of my couch. TV shows do not watch themselves!

However, one can never have too many minions.

Oops, I totally put the world on notice, didn't I? Oh well, I suppose the element of surprise is rather overrated. ;-)

Watch out, world! Here I come!
