Aren't you people tired of Harry Potter yet? It's like it's the end of an era or something. Jeeze.

Ummm, the above is supposed to be funny. People (namely me) tend to think my humour is ahead of its time. *snerk*

Actually, had a Potter discussion with the Da at Sunday dinner today. Told him all of the juicy spoilers and confirmed a prediction or two of his. The whole converation made the Mum antsy and self-conscious as she had no clue what we were talking about so kept the whole thing rather brief, for her sake.

Being low on money necessitated digging into the back of my cupboards where I discovered a bag of mini-marshmallows and a bag of chocolate chips purchased for fudge that was never made. Throw my handy-dandy toaster oven into the mix and I now get s'mores whenever I want them. Awesome.

Saw Hairspray with the Baylors on Friday. It was a lot of freaking fun. There was singing and dancing and I was rather fond of the way it showcased the inherent ridiculousness of racial segregation. And where the end of Grease told adolescent girls that they would have to completely change themselves to get the guy the end of Hairspray tells adolescent girls that all they have to do is be themselves. And, did I mention the shiny singing and dancing?

Just talked to the Big Lug and am now amused. A few weeks ago he complained to me about this lame dating thing he'd been roped into going on. The girl who had organized the activity kept hounding and hounding him one day at church over who he was going to take and blah blah blah until he finally got so aggravated that he said, "Well, why don't I just take you?" Apparently the lame dating activity did what it was supposed to do 'cause now he's taking her out on a real, official, non-church activity motivated date. This, my friends, is a prime example of irony.

I am torn, I could watch Empire Strikes Back, Two Towers, or some season 2 Farscape. Decisions, decisions ...

Well, you should just go see it, than. ;-)

And I took your advice and watched some John Crichton. That man will never stop being outrageously attractive. Thank goodness. mmmmmmmmmm

Good for Big Lug! Girls can be quite sneaky, they can. ;)

Danielle is finishing the book as we speak, and then it's my turn. Of course it will take me a lot longer to read it.

Girls are extremely sneaky. I have a sneaking suspicion that my brother is caught but good. Only time'll tell, I guess. ;-)

The whole Harry Potter thing really is almost over. Except for the whole bit where I'm sure you'll indoctrinate your sprog at the earliest possible opportunity.

BTW, CONGRATULATIONS on the full-time teaching gig! Your students are going to be freakin' lucky to have you.
