Jun. 5th, 2007 12:11 amHave been tired and ache-y and nauseous all day. My thing is probably cycling around again which is annoying to the extreme. That inspired me to go over to WebMD and look at the symptoms for lupus because the longer I'm sick the more I think that's probably it and a lot of them matched up but I don't get a rash which seems to be a big indicater and either way looking at it all made me feel like I had to throw up so I just had to stop and lay down and take a breather. It's only on nights like this when I'm by myself and aching again that I can admit to myself how much this scares me because I don't know what it is but whatever it is it looks like I'm stuck with it because it's been 5 years now and it shows no signs of going away for good.
Tomorrow I'll put my game face back on but tonight, tonight I'm a little tired of being strong so I'll indulge my neediness all over you all. Just have to remind myself that my issues are really not so bad when compared with other people's problems. Really, they're not.
Ahem, anyway, on the bright side got a new phone today that after rebate will cost me all of $3 and it has a camera and V-Cast and GPS driving instructions and who knows what else. I almost made a comment in the store about how I was getting Dean Winchester's phone but I carefully controlled myself. My mother and the salesguy didn't need to be subjected to that. ;-) Still, spent the better part of this evening downloading new ringtones and sending pictures to the Big Lug. \o/
It's been storming all day and the Pup has not been amused. At one point I found him hiding in a corner on one of my clean towels which means that I should put away my clean laundry once I've folded it, obviously. And then he had to follow me into the bathroom and lay at my feet while I used the toilet. Now he's unconscious, completely worn out from all of the thunder trauma. Poor Pup.
I have more think-y thoughts about X-Files and Supernatural and how one generation creates the next and where we once believed one person with the truth could save the world now we just hope that we'll be able to hold back the darkness for a little while longer and protect the ones we love. And I'll be sure to document the trip
baylorsr and I make to the Build-a-Bear workshop when we go to create our Winchester bears. That reminds me, have to go out and find teddy bear sized rifles because you know that won't be an accessory offered by the megacorp.
Was looking at the campground at the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes as a possible family camping spot this summer and discovered there is no way that I'm staying there. You have to pay to take a shower. Two 3-minute tokens for a dollar. There's no way I'm paying for a shower when I can go to a state campground and have all of that for free. That's just not on, National Park Service, not on at all. *shakes finger*

Date: 2007-06-05 04:51 am (UTC)Speaking of Winchesters--OMG YOU TOTALLY HAVE DEAN'S PHONE1!!!! I am so jealous! I'm on Sprint, and I had to commit to another year when I changed my service (and to be honest, I've never had a problem with their service so it would be silly to switch just so I, too, could have Dean's phone OMG!!!) so I sadly cannot join you in the having of DEANZ POHNEOMG!!!. But you can bet I will pet and covet it like crazy.
I will keep my eye out for bear-sized firearms. Ooh! I found a store nearby that specializes in die-cast stuff. I'm goign to go on Friday after work and see if they have a certain make and model of car, or if they know where to get one. Maybe they'll have die-cast guns! Whee!
omg what has happened to me? YOU did this.

Date: 2007-06-05 11:32 am (UTC)Poor pup! Our dog used to tremble with fear anytime she heard loud noises -- thunder, fireworks, logs crackling... *pets*
Ooooh, camping. I need to do some of that this summer. I wonder if there's such a thing as a campground with internet access... :)

Date: 2007-06-05 04:49 pm (UTC)I was just going to say that. ;) It's a combination of the symptoms and bloodwork (looking for a high ANA titer, possibly among other things, I'm not sure) that would matter more than the presence or lack thereof of the rash.
I hope you can find out some answers soon! {{{{{{Lipton}}}}}}
