liptonrm_backupToday is Sam Winchester's birthday. Happy Birthday Sam!!!! I hope to have fic ready to post later on tonight in honor of this auspicious day. *crosses fingers*
I did, of course, go out and purchase Supernatural: Origins #1 earlier today. I actually had to send the guy at Clem's into the back room to get it for me because they hadn't finished bagging the new product. I get awfully bossy when it comes to my shows. Anyway, it is awesome and I recommend that everyone who watches the show go find a copy (and if you can't find one I will totally hook you up, I already buy in bulk as it is). I'm not entirely sure I buy the additional story they told at the end. On one hand I can see 10 year-old Dean trying to shield Sammy from the horrible things in the world but I just don't buy that John would've ever been anything other then upfront about the things that go bump in the night. It doesn't make a ton of character sense in my head but seeing as it was written by someone else and was tacked on after the main story I view it as fanfiction with pretty pictures so, yeah, whatever.
All of the stuff with John and everything in the main story was flat out spectacular. There's enough good stuff there to keep my brain spinning in circles for days. I can't wait to see the next issue.
